The Red Colour Loss On My Samsung SyncMaster 753 DFX

I have my Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX with the red colour is loss. Any idea of repairing it? The colour will be back to normal when the monitor is not in use for about a week. Although the colour is back but it would only last for a few hours only.

So, how could I do to let the monitor back to normal?
I'm not familiar with electronics, I hope I will have a more detailed instructions/solutions

My Dear Friends,

I Understood the problem.

I will explain it a little briefly.

There is an Integrated Chip (IC) inside the monitor which gave RED, GREEN and BLUE ( Primary Colours) to the CATHODE RAY TUBE (CRT) otherwise called monitor screen.

Due to long run, the IC might be cold soldered and one or two of the colours will not be supplied by the IC to CRT. so the CRT (monitor) will fail to display and mix the primary colours to get othe orginal colour.

The SOLUTION is to replace the IC with a new IC. As this requires a little bit expertise, please get help from the monitor service technician and ask him to replace IC with a new one. This can be done in home, so that you don't have to take the monitor to shop or service center.

All the things you have to tell the technician is to come with a stand-by ICs (NEW) for the MONITOR MODEL, in this case "SYNCMASTER 753S".

It cost around Indian Rupees 300/- for the cost of IC and another 200 Rupees for the service charge of technician.

I hope you solve this issue, if not write to me at spiceprince@yahoo.com with all details.

I had the same problem...I first opened the monitör and checked the solders and the transistors...I couldnt find anything then I checked the cables and saw that the red cable had problems...
I made new connections to a new vga pin connector and the problem was solved.

Hi , i have near same problem. For me it was an easy fix.
Check if your power outlet is okay , move your computer and monitor to other power outlet in your hourse and see if it happens again. If it does well and you dont have any strong magnetic field around (such non-shield sound system) your monitor need service otherwise call any eletrician to make sure your power outlet is grounded and neutral is working .

Crt monitor gradually develops a yellow tinge after being turned on for a few minutes. It fluctuates annoyingly. It is about 4 years old. It is a Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX Crt monitor.

CRT monitors have three color "guns" in them - Red, Blue, & Green. If one of them is starting to go south you will have a tinge as you describe. To make sure it's the monitor, try connecting a different monitor. If the monitor is the problem, it's not worth fixing. Replace it.
If, after changing the monitor you still have a color tinge, you have a problem with your video device in your PC and you need to have it checked out by a PC Technician.

Hcl crt color 15" digital monitor.red color is

Unfortunately, this is not a fixable problem. Samsung CRT monitors are well known for losing color; they have defective cathode ray tubes. I recommend that you buy an lcd screen. sorry if that wasn't what you wanted to hear! don't forget to rate

Dear Sir, My monitor is SAMSUNG 753DFX (17" White), my monitor green color problem (green color loss),pl. help me and give me solution. I am electronics familier. Thanking You, Arif

try to use windows color management scheme under properties of your graphic card setting. you can manually override the green red blue and gamma settings. In this way may be availing of desired result is possible.
Either way if you're familier with electronics, repair including possibility of shock hazard costs you more than the price of a new flat monitor.

Crt monitor problem

If it's intermittent it could be the red drive on the control board, but if it's constant it's probably the red gun failed. I would try the monitor on a diffrent system just to be sure but it's probably time for a new monitor.

Vga pinout schema for samsung 753dfx

Hi,

Apparently what you need are the wiring for the VGA cable itself. They would differ from manufacturer to manufacturer since it is not a Samsung item. Would the schematic and/or Service Manual of the Samsung chassis AN17K (753DFX, 76DF, 753V, 753S, 76V or 76E) help? if so, pls try here, here or here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Monitor red colour problem

Hi,

i am assuming that the glass you are referring to is the glass capsule of a neon lamp. They are normally installed to serve as high voltage flash suppressor, a safety feature. Not unless it is shorted, then the unit would still work.

It is no uncommon for the power pack IC to simply have cold solder. Re-applying a heated soldering iron with a dab of soldering lead might just do the trick. Another possibility to consider is that the cable might be defective (specifically the wire for the red).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
