When the turn signals quit working pull up , down , front to back an back to front on the turn signal switch handle . Do they work when doing this ? Pontiac had bad switch . The power for the turn signals goes through the flasher / hazard module . Could be the switch or the module.
The HAZARD LPS fuse in the left hand instrument panel (LH IP) junction block supplies battery positive voltage to the flasher module, which is part of the hazard switch assembly. The TURN LPS fuse in the LH IP junction block supplies ignition positive voltage to the flasher module. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the flasher module's output to the turn signal switch assembly. The flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.
Hi Hd84softail, always check fuses and bulbs first, you could have a faulty turn signal module or a bad turn signal button/switch, remove it from the switch housing and check for continuity, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all wires are not worn or pinched and connector pins are not corroded, broken, or loose. Could be almost anything ! Do the usual simple checks - fuse in the mains plug (should be 3A), have you got another piece of equipment (radio etc.) that uses the same 2-pin plug for power - use it to check that the mains cable is OK. If the mains cable is OK, it maight be the switch on the power supply module or the power supply module itself ('L'-print), but could be more ... check if the sewing light or display backlight is coming on, but if completely dead, your only solution is to get it checked-out by a Bernina service agent.
On the back of the power supply there is a 120/220 V AC selector switch.
It's possible that switch got knock on the wrong voltage position.
Pull the power cable.
Move the switch back and forth between the two position.
Make sure you leave the switch in the correct selection.

If you have time, open the case and inspect the RAM module(s) and card(s). They can be un-sitted.
plug in power cord and power on the pc.
you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.
You have an obvious electrical problem. It could be that the switch on the power module is faulty.
Remove the hinge cover and depress the power switch on the power module. If the system is starting without hinderance then the issue is the tab under the hinge cover is not making proper connection with the switch below. If the same problems persist when you go directly to the power module then the module has a faulty switch. Radio shack has those tact switches for $3.58. You can either replace the switch or replace the module.
