Question about Arcade Golden Tee Unplugged Video Cabinet

Open Question

I unplugged the wires when I moved a golden tee golf game, and when I hooked them back up the start button wouldn't work. Is there a wiring diagram for these games?

Golden tee black screen

Are you able to advise some more detail for this issue please?
Can you play the game 'blind', which means coin it up, start a game and hear the game making normal gameplay sounds? If so this shows there is an issue with the monitor, or the wiring to the monitor.
Are there any lights lit up on the main game board inside the cabinet? If so this also shows there is an issue with the monitor, or the wiring to the monitor.
Is there any neck glow on the monitor tube, which is the back of the tube itself where it narrows down like a funnel to a narrow glass tube? If so this would indicate the monitor is most likely functioning and could be a game board issue.
You can also determine whether a monitor is functioning by turning up the brightness to full using the brightness potentiometer on the monitor chassis, or the potentiometer on the flyback transformer. The flyback transformer is the plastic looking device that the high tension lead comes out of and connects to the monitor tube, a lot like a spark plug lead connects from the cars distributor cap or coil pack to the spark plugs. It should show a lighter screen and probably with lines in it if the monitor is running.

Picture on golden tee is dark red not normal green did revert to green but back to red

Sounds like a cold solder joint. Unless you have knowledge of electronics and high voltage, I wouldn't try to fix it myself. A honest TV repairman should be able to fix it. And when I mean high voltage, I mean 2000-3000 volts is average with a CRT TV tube.

I have a 2005 golden tee tournament edition, when i turn it on it powers up but the screen is blank, any suggestions???

First you will need to open your game arcade machine and check the Game Motherboard cables and connections, check all plugs, every connector, reconnect all of them..and try to turn it on again!

After doing this try to check your power supply and see if it is working well..

see if the board look´s like this:

Note that some versions has ide hdd interface.

to help you, i find the service manual with all the instructions in this link

There is a step by step guide to fix your Golden tee!

Good Luck!

My golden tee freezes when i hit the ball in certain place and restarts

The first and easiest thing to check is the voltage supply to the game board. This should be 5 VDC, but may need to be 5.1 VDC as some games are a bit fussier.
Using a digital multimeter check the voltage from the switching power supply in the cabinet, which will be a medium sized metal box with multiple wires attached to it, and the two wires you need will be clearly marked '+5 VDC' and 'ground' or 'common' or 'negative'. If the voltage is incorrect there will be a small potentiometer or knob that can be turned to adjust the voltage. With the multimeter still connected adjust the voltage so the multimeter reads 5.1 VDC, or even better 5.2 as there will be a slight voltage drop between the power supply and the game board which will be approx 5.1 VDC by the time all the components on the board receive the power.

If you don't have a digital multimeter or are not too sure about the wiring at the power supply, you can go into the boot game into the test settings menu which will display the current voltage the board is receiving on the screen. You can then make the adjustments as necessary. Refer to the manual for details on how to boot into the test screen.

Hope this helps.

Golden keeps rebooting

Vandre's suggestions are very good.
Some boards are fussy with voltage and need a small adjustment to find the setting they like best.
You can put the board into test mode/menu when you power it on, refer to the manual on how to do this, and see what the current voltage is being supplied to the board.
5.2 volts DC is a good setting for fussy boards. If it still reboots try 5.4volts, maybe 5.6 volts, but recommend going no higher than 5.6.
This will compensate for voltage drop across the board to getvit through the startup cycle.
Hope this helps.
