You have to double tap the power key to shut it down. The screen should go dark right away but the cooling fan will run for another 1-5 minutes.

Projector keeps shutting down every 20 minutes. Could it be the fan or the bulb? or something else?

look at the lamp and check to see if there is foil tape over the seams on top of the lamp. The top is the side under the top cover of the lamp when installed. If the foil tape is absent, then the heat escaping from the seam is triggering the thermal sensor in the lamp housing causing the premature shutdown. If your lamp does have tape on it then your lamp is probably going bad.

IN24 Multimedia Projector: Orange light bulb light came on....does this mean ...

if it runs for a few minutes before shutting down, it could be the lamp. check to see if the seams of the lamp that are closest to the underside of the top cover have foil tape covering the seams, if not then this has been known to cause premature shutdown.

InFocus LP725 light goes out after 10 minutes

The Projector will turn off after so many hours of running the same bulb module. The counter will turn on a replace bulb LED. Installing the new bulb module should reset the counter and turn off the LED.

Check the projector’s lamp to ensure that it is securely connected
in the lamp module. Make sure by removing it and reinserting it.

Check the cables for problems.

When testing, power up in this order. Projector, Computer monitor, Computer.

A minor power surge may cause the lamp to shut off. Turn the
projector off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

I hope these suggestions help
