Ok is this being sent to you by email, if so , it is not windows or ms office it is your email program, go into the mail preferances and i would venture a guess you have "not to show attachments" or something similar. I would also say it was probably set up by a parent. look at the selections what your looking for is to show and allow all attachments it is treating the attachment as a virus for your protection. I will continue to tell people not to open any email from a source that you dont know or solicate from, dont give personal information to anyone i dont care if it is a close friend and least of all i dont care if your talking to the same person for 10 years in a chat room, anyone asking personal information online deletem or block them, if they are reliable they will never ask. ok off my soap box, "aint nothing common about sense"

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Can't seem to open up an attachment sent to me on

In some cases mobile phones just cannot open certain types of files. It is hard to say without knowing the exact model of your phone or the type of file the attachment is, but in most cases when a file will not open, the mobile device just does not support opening that type of file.

It's a pain and probably the best solution is just to open the attachment on your PC.

How to take an e-mail picture to my facebook profile. I was sent a picture to my e-mail and want to transfer it to my facebook account.

Hi,
This can be done in two possible ways.
1.You will have to download the attached picture document and save it on your desktop.
If it is not an attached file then just right clck on image and choose the option save as.Save the file(picture).
2.Now open your facebook acount. Here you have an option photo .Just click on it,It will open a small box wit option upload a photo and will ask for the image location with option browse (in your case it will be desktop). Just provide the image location and once done just choose the option share. You are done.
Hope this works for you.Let me know if you have further problems.

This depends of the email client you are using. If they are sent as attachments then save those attachments or download them to your hard drive. If they are embedded in the email then you will want to right click on the pictures and choose 'save as'.
Once the pictures are in the desired folder you can right click on the file again and choose 'rename' This will give you the option to name the picture anyway you like.

HOW TO SENT SMS TO PC FROM MOBILE

Unfortunately you can not send sms to pc. One thing you can do that is just as effecient, is sending an email to yourself or to another pc with an attachment pdf. or any type of file with the picture you want to show. Sync your phone with all pictures downloaded saved to a library file . You can then go to send email and click attach. You will be able to access your file of pictures in th library file , so click attach and then find the image you like to share and then send it and let them enjoy!

How to scan a hard copy, and send in an email?

Hello,
Install the Control Center CC3, if it is not already installed. Connect the MFC-5460CN to the computer. Open the CC3 software. Click the Scan button. You will have the choice to Scan to Picture, Scan to OCR, Scan to E-mail, or Scan to file.
You click to E-mail. The MFC scans the document and opens the default E-mail program (Outlook, Outlook Express), attaches the scanned picture and all that is left for you to do is to supply the E-mail address where the document is to be sent.

If you have problems doing that, scan to file then open the E-mail client to create a new message and attach the file you scanned.

Hope it helps.

I need to get pictures sent to my email transferred to my desk top so i can access them individually on desk top i have windows xp program I need to do this so I can put pictures on craigslist thanks.

When you open your e-mail, the pictures are either embeded in the body of the e-mail or as an attachment. Either way, you should be able to right click the picture or the attachment and select save as. Then navigate to your desktop and click save. You can also open the attachment and save the file from within the program that it opens in.

The BlackBerry smartphone user is unable to send a picture as an email message from the Media application of the BlackBerry smartphone. The Send option is not present on the menu when the email message is sent using an email account that is associated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Although the current BlackBerry Internet Service supports large attachments or attachments that are in their native format, BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 does not.
A BlackBerry smartphone that is provisioned with the current BlackBerry Internet Service uses it as the default method for sending pictures from the camera. As a result, when attempting to send a picture attachment from an email account that is associated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Send option will be missing from the menu as the image is in native format and size.

Upgrade the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to software version 4.1 Service Pack 2 or later, since support for large attachments or attachments that are in their native format has been introduced in that version.

Follow the steps below to send the picture attachment from the Messages application on the BlackBerry smartphone:
  1. Select Messages on the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Select the Compose Email option from the menu.
  4. In the To field, enter the contact address where the email message is to be sent.
  5. Press the Menu key again.
  6. Select the Attach File option from the menu.
  7. Browse to and select the picture to be attached to the email message.
  8. Send the email message.

Regd the .dat file

You cannot open a data file this is only read by a programme or the operating system, but what may have happened is that you have been sent a file for which you do not have a programme for it to open with and windows has use the.dat as default. If you know who sent it and what file it is suppost to be, ask them what file it is eg a picture or video file and use one of your own programmes to open it using the right click and 'open with' method.
