In fact,YM Version below 9 is too much problem for VISTA. So, its up to you to use YM version 9 because YM V9 is too problem if I using YM V8 and you using new YM V9.

YM below V9 is CANNOT voice message and problem for WEBCAM. You can read another forums discuss about this.

The solution is :
1. Try YM version 9 (still have problems)
2. Change to XP (Excellent solutions)

But if your OS is XP, you can check your preferrence in Yahoo Mesengger, then check Camera Source, click the right cam installed in your computer. Settle!

Bye

Check out ur audio driver in device manager look for update.
you can update in device manager but sometimes(more often than not) get reply latest driver installed.
well the latest driver isnt always the best.
if this the case download a driver from hp site .if driver still no better or worse;you can roll back driver in device mannager to previous one.
could try update codecs (encode/decode) as different codecs have different compression ratio's.

There's a volume control for the chat rooms beyond your own computers volume. It's often muted when first loaded.

hi,
if nothing(even hp logo ) is not coming on the display then please try this.
1.remove the battery and then press the power button for 30 sec.Again refix it and check.
2.If windows sound is there then this mught be the issue with display.

3.If there is no windows sound might be the issue with RAM so please get it checked.

Sound went out ? while using yahoo messenger conference

There seems to be a problem with Yahoo messenger. You need to uninstall yahoo messenger because it has control your sound. Once the sound is work you should be able to use the sound in Yahoo Messenger. If not you need reinstall Yahoo Messenger. Do not use any beta sofware from Yahoo.

I hope this helps.

Acer crystal eye cam will not work with yahoo messenger

check the features in the yahoo messengers i believe version 8 for vista will not allow you to use a webcam if you have vista operating system. Im not sure if version 9 allows you to or not. Like i say you have to check out the features for your version of yahoo and see if it allows you to use the webcam based on what version of windows you are using
