Here is a link for the owner's manual. It gives several suggestions for the cause of the display being blank. Check those and let me know if that helps.

Hello, first you must verify if you are getting 24 volts to the tstat at the secondary side of the transformer, if not you have a bad transformer. If you are getting 24 volts then check the batteries in the thermostat.

Check your fuses, sounds like the HVAC or AC fuse may be blown.

After a power outage my T8011R display will not come on. Breaker is on and the auto fan works--so there is electricity to the thermostat. Is it fried or is there a reset or fuse that I need to address?

Hi, if the stat is working and running the fan, what has happened is the circuitry is faulty that shows the digital display. Before we are certain this has happened, check to see if the stat has batteries in it. Pull the front cover off and check. If it does, replace them and see if the display returns. If it does great! If not its the circuitry in the stat and will need to be replaced. Keep me posted.

Thermostat not turning on furnace.

Hi, You need to go to the furnace to see if you have lost the 24 volt supply, the transformer. If you have a circuit board, see if it has a 3 to 5 amp fuse plugged into it that is blown. This will kill power to stat causing nothing to work. Let me no what you find and we can go from there.

Honeywell T8011r does not have anything on display - does not appear circuit breaker is thrown - could it be wire disconnected at the plate or is there a fuse inside the unit?

Check to see if you have power at the furnace. You thermostat is powered by 24vac coming from the furnace. You should have power on the "R" terminal.

Honeywell digital thermostat stopped working

Sounds to me like you have a low voltage short. If the stat had no display until you installed the battery means there was no voltage for the stat to work. Putting the battery in proves the stat works, no motors turning on probably leads to a blown low voltage fuse generally a blade fuse on circuit board in indoor unit. Good Luck

Check for either an in-line fuse in the heating unit or a fuse on the control board also in the heating unit.
