Enter your value like 56 and then press the "shift" key (blueish button upper left with shift in a red color)
Next press the "CONV" buuton (it is button number 8 with the CONV in red above button)
It will then ask you for which conversion you want to do from 01-40.
Once you type in like "01" it will show what it is converting "56in>cm". The > is for an arrow it shows between. If you then press the equal sign it will convert from inches to centimeters. The plastic cover has the full list of the conversions on it along with these same instructions. If you do not have the cover then the Appendix them all listed.

Calculating cubic ft

In order to calculate cubic feet you must multiply the LxWxH (where L=length, W=width and H=height or depth) making sure all three numbers are in feet. For example: a box 3' long by 2' wide by 1.5' high would contain 9 cubic feet of space. (3x2x1.5). If one or more of the measurements is in inches then you must convert it to feet or the others to inches. If all three measurements are in inches multiply them and then divide your answer by 1728 to give cubic feet because their are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot. (12x12x12). For example the same problem above in inches would be: 36x24x18=15,552cubic inches. Divide 15,552 by 1728 = 9 cubic feet

Conversion PSI to NM

The conversion is from inch pounds to Newton Meters

The factor: 1 Lb-Ft = 1.35582 Nm.

The direct quote: boltscience.com

Torque is a measure of how much twisting is applied to a fastener. The units used to measure torque are in the form of force times length.
The metric (SI) unit of torque is the newton metre (Nm). In inch units, torque is usually measured as Lb-Ft (pounds feet) or Lb-In (pounds inch). The Torque Converter Calculator will allow you to convert Nm to Lb-Ft or Lb-In or vice-versa. The calculator uses the conversion 1 Lb-Ft = 1.35582 Nm.

Calculate cubic feet of stone wall 120'long x 6'-6" high x 3" thick

your measurements are in different units, say feet and inches, you can first convert those values to feet, then multiply them together to get the square footage of the area. If you are measuring a square or rectangle area, multiply length times width; Length x Width = Area.

When changing from one unit of measurement to another, a conversion factor is used to?

... convert from one unit of measure to another unit of measure...

For example, to convert from inches to centimetres, we multiply the number of inches by 2.54 to get the number of centimetres.

So 10", we multiply by 2.54 to get 25.4cm. The 2.54 is the conversion factor. We can use it to convert any number of inches to centimetres.

Good luck.

How do I do feet and inches calculations on the Casio FX-115ES Plus? For example, how can I do calculations like 10'-3" + 5'-4" + 11'-11" without having to convert the inches to feet?

Calculators work to base '10' not base '12', so you'll have to convert. the S.I. unit of measurement is used for calculators which is metres and they are base '10'. The metre was calculated by a french bloke who got the calculation wrong, but they still use it. Feet and inches are better.

How do i convert feet to cubic feet

You do not. One is a unit of length, the other a unit of volume.
If you are trying to calculate the volume of some solid for which you have a formula, convert all the measures to feet and perform the calculation according to the formula. The result will be in cubic feet.

Convert milimeter to ounces

You can't. Millimeter is a measure of length, while ounce can be a measure of volume or of mass. It's like trying to convert inches to pounds.

1. convert 10,000 Square meters to meters. 2. what will be the size of a room that can accommodate 300,000 cubic feet of fresh produce. 3. Thank you

  1. You cannot convert square meters (m²) to meters (m). The first unit measures an area, the second a length. You might as well ask, "what is the weight of two hours".
  2. There is no single answer without further constraints given. Even assuming a box-shaped room, it might be, for example 1ft x 1ft x 300,000ft or 100ft x 100ft x 30ft. Infinite more combinations are possible.
  3. My pleasure ;-)
