Thank you, but I don't have a card reader, and I would rather like to restore the original settings that was on my camera in the first place.
Can anybody help me with that? It was a DCM or/and MISC file ...??? Those that come with the camera. I have the original CD and did reinstall, but the camera drive is empty.

Oh, I should have mentioned that I am from South-Africa and we do not have a Walmart. But the picture do help. I am sure we do have card readers somewhere in our country. Will have to find out then as it seems to be my only solution ;-( LOVED plugging in my camera and just downloading all my pictures. My camera is almost 8 years old - i think, and this is my FIRST problem. I just LOVE it and it has travelled the world with me and never one ugly picture. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME.

Are you saying the pics are still on your camera card and you're able to view them on your camera? If so, just get a card reader and use it to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

Look...what you would rather do and the reality of the situation are two different things. Get the card reader and try to download to a folder you create on your desktop. Then you can reset your camera and format the card in the camera and everything will be fine. The card reader pictured here is $13 at Walmart.

You're welcome. Once you use a card reader, you will never go back to the camera/USB setup. Good luck.

Can i recover pictures i accidentally deleted?

First of all, you should stop saving any new files to your digital camera (or SD card) or taking new pictures.

Then find some photo recovery software from the following websites, which are able to recover deleted or formatted photos and movies from cell phone, digital camera, memory card and SD card etc.

Digital Camera Photo Recovery

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Download and install the Digital Photo Recovery Software.
Step 2: Connect your Sony cybershot camera (or SD card, memory card etc) to your PC.
Step 3: Scan the source drive where your lost pictures located.
Step 4: Recover the lost pictures and save them to another drive instead of the source drive.

Best regards!

I cant get the software suite disc to download on my computer can i still download the pics

hi, if your using your camera with a memory card then all you need to do is take the memory card out and plug it into your card reader and then you will be able to access them via your computer it will be listed under my computer.

The software that comes with the camera is basically an photo edit software witch you dont really need so try doing it the memory card way or plug your camera into your computer and then wait a minute or two your computer will then pick the camera up as an extra drive and allow you to see the pictures, all you need to do then is copy them into your pictures file by dragging and dropping them into your picture file.

Have the camera file and picture file side by side then just drag and drop all the pictures you want to put on your pc then you can delete all the ones on your camera to free up the memory to take more pictures.

You dont actually need the software but if you do want the image edit software then goto the google homepage and type in software for sanyo camera

this will then load up load of sites that will let you download the software for free.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok.

I cannot download my pictures to my computer because I don`t have the software that usually comes with the camera Panasonic DMC-LZ4

The memory cards in most cameras is removable and the pictures can be downloaded without the camera. The memory card is usually located behind a door in the camera. you release it by pressing on it or pressing a release button. notice the position of it as you remove it because you are going to want to put it back in exactly as you removed it when you are finished dowloading your pictures.

To download the pictures, you do not need any special software; but you do need to connect the card to the computer. You can buy a card reader from any computer store. It plugs into a USB port. Insert the card into the reader and then plug the reader into the USB port. Usually, after a few seconds the computer will recognize the reader and ask you what you want to do. Choose the next to last option to open and show files. My Computer (Explorer)will open and you should be able see a listing of your picture files. Using Explorer, you can copy the files to where ever you wnat to put them.

After you have copied the files to your computer, you can delete them from the card (though I wouldn't do that until you have verified that they have indeed been loded onto your computer). However, some cameras do not like it when you delete the pictures on the card by using Explorer. In that case, put the card back into the camera and using the camera tools, format the card.

If you want to see your pictures, while in Explorer (My Computer), double click on a picture file and it will open in software already on the computer.
