I have a 1972 Jenn Air Electric 2 burner/ 1 grill range Model S125. There is a ventilation "slot" on the top sitting between the burner unit and the grill Unit. I was cleaning it out and accidentally dropped my paring knife, then my fingers knocked it under the grill unit and it fell down the vent space on the side of the oven (left side of Oven)! I tried a magnet on a string, to no avail... How do I get the knife out of there? Can I go underneath to the power unit (also left side) which appears to be directly under the oven wall vent space? Since it sits right underneath it doesn't appear there is a place for the knife to be. The vent hose is on the right side, if I cut the cable ties and detach hose is there a way to reach past the power unit to the left side of the oven? HELP! I'm afraid to use my oven for fear the knife handle will burn and smell!
