Hi,

Follow these steps:
1 Open the paper trays and remove the paper supply.
2 Press in the latches on the rear access door and remove it.
3 Pull the paper out from the rollers without tearing it. IMPORTANT: If the paper tears while removing it, check inside the AiO for torn pieces of paper and remove them. More jams are likely to occur if all the torn pieces are not removed.
4 Replace the rear access door by pressing it in until it latches into place.
5 Reload the paper tray(s). Do not overfill.
6 Re-engage the Photo tray if desired.
If you want these steps with pictures, go to this link and see page 87.
Good luck and have a nice day.

SOURCE: Fake paper jam

I had the very same problem unitl a moment ago!! I found some A4 card and forced it through the printer. I tried to print a document as usual, as the rollers (inside the printer) lifted, i pushed the card through in an attempt to clear any blockage which wasn't visible to me. It cleared the block and is now working perfectly again !! give it a go.

Unfortunately this may require and engineers visit. If you pull down the MP assembly by using the handle in the middle at the front of the printer you can then see a small "gearbox" at the right hand side of the transfer belt. This is common to feeds from both trays and could be worn. If you remove tray 1 and temporarily tape up the sensor arms to fool the printer into thinking it has a full tray installed, you can the test, by applying a little pressure to the feed roller, to see if it positively moves forward or if you are able to stop it turning. On a brighter note, you may just need new rollers instead of cleaning them.

check the paper tray to make sure paper goes up. Also check to see if there are any obstructions in the paper path.

Paper type for 8.5 x 11 paper was reset to A4. I want it to be LTR. How do I change back?

I would start with the easiest solution, look to see if there is any paper jammed behind the paper tray. There are switches behind the paper tray for paper size. Also, make sure the paper tray guides are in the correct position against the paper in the tray, they tell the copier the paper size. Good Luck

Code CO204

The error code C0204 deals with the first paper tray not lifting up correctly. What you can do is to turn the copier off and pull out all of the paper trays and turn back On. Once it is warmed up, push one tray in at a time to see which one codes out. To resolve the problem, there could be a piece of paper jammed behind the paper tray or if you have LTR size paper in the tray, do you have paper on both sides of the tray. Remove the paper from the left side of the paper tray or you may have to take the paper tray out to get to the piece of paper wadded behind the paper tray.... Good Luck

Make sure that your paper trays are lined up correctly and tight against the paper in the tray. Also, I would make sure there is not any paper jammed behind the paper tray and make sure the paper is in the paper tray correctly... Good Luck

Can't get it to make copies. I need it to show "letter" size when choosing the size parer...it shows A4.

You may have a piece of paper jammed behind the paper tray? I would take the paper trays out of the copier and look inside to see if there is paper jammed toward the rear of the copier..... There are switch's that till the copier what size paper is in the tray. It can also be a small tab on the back of the paper tray is not adjusted correctly? Good Luck

Will not print - paper jams - when open the back cover paper comes out on its own

Remove the paper from behind the back cover, then remove the paper tray and check for any other jammed paper. Once you've removed it all, turn the printer off then back on. Before printing again, take the paper out of the tray, fan it out, and flip it over so it's upside-down. (Paper curl and static can cause jams, and turning the paper over can often correct those issues.)

Does it still jam?

Says paper jam and there isnt!

It is possible that even though there are no full sheets of paper jamming the printer that some torn bits have been left behind. You need to make sure that cleaning is complete.

Preventing paper jams The following recommendations can help prevent recurring paper jams in your HP product.
  • Before loading paper in the tray, hold the stack of paper, and then tap the bottom edge on a flat surface so that the stack is even on all sides.
  • Make sure that the length and width adjusters on the tray are correctly positioned, and then push the stack of paper forward until it stops in the tray. CAUTION: Do not force the paper to move too far forward in the tray.
  • Do not overload the tray with paper.
  • Only add paper to the tray when the product is not printing.
  • Make sure the HP product supports the paper type. See the documentation that came with the HP product for more information.
  • Do not print on paper with paper clips or staples attached.
  • Do not use paper that is bent, torn, dusty, damp, wrinkled, curled, or paper that does not lie flat.
  • Use only one type of paper at a time. Do not mix different types, weights, or sizes of paper.
  • Do not use paper that is too thin, too thick, or too glossy for the product.
Cause The following factors can cause paper jams:
  • Paper loaded incorrectly in the paper tray.
  • Damaged or dirty paper rollers.
  • Torn, wrinkled, or damp paper loaded in the paper tray.
  • The rear access door or two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) might not be closed or is not locked into place.
  • Paper was added to a stack already in the tray while the HP product was printing.
  • The tray contains more than one type of paper.
  • The paper is jammed inside the HP product where you cannot see it.
  • An obstruction is blocking the paper path.
  • Torn pieces of paper from a previous jam are stuck in the product.
  • The tray is too full.
  • If printing on an envelope, the edges of the envelope are bent.

I hope thihs is helpful.

Tray is not feeding paper properly. Its making a weird clicking noise when paper is being fed. Paper gets jammed on most attempts.

Remove the paper tray and try to see some paper jammed somewhere around it. When pulling off paper jam. Just pull gently and slowly so that you can remove all and nothing left behind and doesn't damage the part when removing unwanted paper jam. Maybe it is the cartridge just repalce new cartridge if not the fuser drum maybe damage.
