I have a burned in image on my 32" ProScan flat screen tv. How do I get rid of the image?

Can't be done. That's why it's not a good idea to leave an image on a screen for a long time. A lot of computer screens have burned in images.

TV burn in / fading effect?

TV has an image burn into it? Put the tv in white wash (all white screen) by going into your settings. By having it in an all white screen may help get rid of the burn image. Must have it on white wash for some hours until you can see that the image is disappearing.

Samsung HL-R5688W DLP TV Screen Burn

I don't know where you got the information that burning could not happen but that is completely wrong. If it is a monitor, tube tv, LCD/LED, DLP or any other kind of viewing device it can burn. With that out of the way if the lamp warning is coming on then it is time to replace it but your image problems are deeper than that. The screen appears to be separating. By that I mean there are three layers and sometimes more depending on the manufacturer that display color. Think of it like saran wrap laired on top of each other. As they get old or of poor quality they start to separate and show some pretty funky imaging. Without the TV in my shop I most certainly cannot 100 percent say for sure that this is it but I would strongly consider this as not fixable.

I have a 50 inch Samsung plasma t.v and my kids watch Disney a lot and soon The Disney logo burned into the t.v it was like that for a while then other logos started burning in and soon we were scared to...

Oh Dear,
Getting rid of it is impossible! You have to replace the screen.
How you prevent it is easy!
Just install a screen saver. That does exactly what the name implies! You do not have to worry about normal use!.... You should never have a stationary image on a screen. I am not sure, but there should be something in the TV's own programmes that should just be actiuvated!
or ask Samsung!
I found them helpful!

Is it safe to play video games on your projection televisions?

Yes,but just don't pause the game's or leave the game without playing for a long time like about 1 to 3 hours.Because DLP tvs and Plasma tvs have higher rate picture screen burn in.The image burn in,the tv picture screen panel are useless, because there no way to get rid of the previous images burn in.

When I am on HD channels my plasma seems to show a ligher line on both sides of the tv. It only seems to do it on hockey games or all white screens

What you are describing is a burn. The 4:3 aspect ratio black bars are the culprits. The best way to get rid of them is to display a white screen and let it sit over night and hopefully they will be gone.

Try to keep still images off the screen as they will burn.

Ghosting on the screen

I'm sorry but the TV is damaged permanently. The only way to restore the screen is to replace the CRT tubes. Depending on the colours that burned the image, there's a rare chance it might not be all three of the tubes.
If you can put up with the burnt image it will fade with time but will never disappear completely.
