My aquabot keeps trying to come out of the pool

Aquabots are interesting little robots! They're made to clean the entire surface of the bottom of the pool, and in regards to cleaning the sides, they are programed to climb walls, but once they reach the surface the programming recognizes the specific angle of the top and sends it back down the wall. Normally an Aquabot should never leave the pool. It should reach the surface and go back down the wall to continue cleaning. Good luck!

My aquabot has stopped cleaning the bottom of the pool. As soon as it gets to the walls of my 18x36 IG Pool it climbs the walls it won't go back down again. It just keeps going around the pool's walls...

i have run into this problem with a few units. as a hayward guy, i called support and was informed that there is too much flow through the unit. there are two physical adjustments. the top of the unit has a restrictor plate that simply screws into the top. after that, there is a secondary restriction plate available ... simply a washer that affixes onto the first restrictor plate. if the problem persists, dont clean filters as much so that there is restriction there.

Will not clean shallow end of pool heads directly to deep end

Make sure that the Floating Handle is locked diagonally across the top of your Aquabot's body.
Clean the Filter Bag thoroughly so that the fine particles of dirt that get trapped within the fibers of the
Filter Bag are removed. To test if the Filter Bag is inhibiting the
Aquabot's performance simply remove the Filter Bag and operate the cleaner without it. If the Aquabot then pumps
water strongly, and climbs the walls properly, the Bag most likely requires a thorough cleaning

Problem with the Aquabot Robotic Pool Cleaner Just

The service center is stonewalling you; contact them again and demand they look at it. The unit should run consistently regardless of water balance. Water balance will affect the lifespan for a product like a pool cleaner but not whether or not it works at all. As for climbing, water temp plays a roll but 65 should be enough...what material are the pool walls? Fiberglass or some lines are too slippery for the standard brushes to climb efficiently. The service center should be able to recommend any changes that may be required due to certain pool materials you may have. Discuss that issue further with them or the manufacturer.

Aquabot Bravo runs great in one direction but not the other

Thank you for posting your question here on

Either the belt responsible for that direction or the idler pulley and/or wheel teeth are damaged. The only other possibility would be the drive motor itself is near failure. Try running it briefly upside-down on the deck to inspect the drive components in action to determine which is the problem.

There may be moisture building up inside the motor housing. Try to Open it.

Then make sure no moisture accumulated in the circuits. Mine got the same problem.. after running trouble free for several years it suddenly stop running after the first few minutes..when i opened it a lot of moisture in the circuit. I tot it was toasted. so i took my hair blower and sealed it back and replace the moisture absober (it was soaked).. after first run it would run only the SELF TEST mode.. i tried several method to make it run all the way to the main program.. the solution.. start it and make sure it will not tilt in the first 10 minutes before you let i run sideways to the walls, this makes the program run back to normal.

My turbo bot does climb the walls of my pool. I have had it checked out with service. they could not find any problems. Any suggestions?

Not too uncommon. The float design is such that many units lack enough bouyancy to work well on wall climbing. New floats or added floats may help. S. Christian

Won't go in shallow end to clean

If your floats have started to absorb water, the unit may become reluctant to climb the slope from the deep end to the shallow end, although it may still at least start to climb and clean the wall. There are 3 installed floats in the unit bottom plate: 1 "h" float and 2 pocket floats. Aqua Service Distributors in Sequin, TX had a good price on replacements. Good people, too. S. Christian

Aquabot Turbo T won't climb

1.`. Replace your old, water logged floats. They will dry out when the unit is out of the pool, and the unit will work fine until they water log again, which may takes as few as 10 minutes in the pool. 2. Stop using all those words *********** didn't teach you and probably didn't even know...This is a common problem. gives some really good insight, too! S. Christian
