Hi,

If there's no / less water entering your dishwasher, check these:

1. Water-inlet valve
2. Float switch

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.

Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

Note - If the Machine is Under Warranty, it is advisable to Call the Manufacturer as the above Procedure might Void the Warranty, if any.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Thanks for your quick reply. Were you replying directly to my particular model, or for all general dishwashers? I can't seem to locate a float valve or switch. Can you be more specific on where to find it on this model. Also, on the inlet valve, do you normally just replace it, or is there a way to check its function?

Thanks for all your help! I removed the water inlet valve, took it apart, and found loads of sediment in it. It looks like granular sand that is transluscent greenish/blue in color. See below. Any idea where this stuff is coming from?

    Thanks for your response!!

This is really Common. With time, the Sediment might clog the Inlet Valve and could hamper the flow of water in the Dishwasher. You need to regularly clean them along with Filter.

    me know,if needed further assistance.

    Hope i helped you.

    Thanks

My basket always overflows, the water doesn,t empty fast enough

Here is the SOLUTION(S):
1. Buy a sprayhead that restricts the flow2. Let the water flow through for a few minutes, then lift the lid while it flows through.3. Don't use Decaf4. Plug up a couple holes on your current spray head

Drain the carbs. chances are water condensation in the gas tank has built up in the float bowls. If that doesn't help, try a fresh set of spark plugs. Please rate my answer.

Sometimes there isn't enough hot water for a shower when the hot water mode is set.I have set the hot water temperature to 65 degrees

Are you waiting long enough for the water to be totally heated, before showering? Unfortunately, all the water doesn't reach 60 degrees celsius (140 degrees fahrenheit) in a matter of minutes. Try switching to the hot water mode sooner and allow enough time for the system to heat up entirely. If that doesn't solve the problem, the burner may need cleaning,

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Get a thermometer, and place it inside the freezer. The temperature should get at least 17 degrees. If it is like 28 degrees or highe it will freeze water but not other things like some popsicles which freeze at lower temperature.
