Glacier Bay bathroom faucet - 2 handle leaks

I have a Glacier Bay bathroom faucet. It's the one with 2 handles (white ceramic or plastic). After several years of use, cold water began to leak. I turned off water, popped the top cover and unscrewed the handle. It has a plastic nut inside the housing (I think 3/4'') that holds the stem. Am I suppose to unscrew the plastic nut to replace the gasket? If so, I am unable to reach with 3/4'' socket inside the housing because the walls of the housing are to tight and close to the nut. It seems that there is less than 1/8'' space between the nut corner edge and the inside wall of the housing and the nut itself is sunk in and sits about 1/8'' above the housing top edge. I can't figure out what tool to use to unscrew the plastic nut. Please help!

Replace ceramic disk cartridge

First shut off water to the faucet. Most faucets have a screw on each hot and cold handle, remove the screw, then remove the handle. Now you should see a large Nut around the faucet stem, remove the nut, then the stem can be removed. Depending on the faucet you have, the ceramic disk can be replaced. Most faucet companies give a lifetime warranty on the disk, so you can order a new one for free if you have the warranty papers of the faucet, if not, you can usually get new parts on line, or at a plumbing store.

Theres not much you can do to repair the stem except replacing the small O-ring up inside. You can call Glacier Bay and ask for a new stem ( the faucet has a limited lifetime warranty.
