Same problem with mine it is not 2 years old and have had the problem from the very beginning. Very aggrevating, have to keep it plugged into the car to maintaing power, if not on car battery power the GPS lasts at least 2 minutes before it dies...... Can you say Garmin?

I have the same problem, battery low, I have cheked the unit in a different car and also with a different cable. When I turn the GPS on it booths up gives the low battery signal and the the screen goes blank

I have the same issue - just purchased it (refurbished) keeps coming up that the battery is low. The instruction manual doesn't say anything other than it has a lithium ion battery. How od you change the battery?
