If all pulleys are turning (not bound up) check for belt route misalignment.

Something may be wrapped around the blade shaft under the mower deck or maybe the shaft bearings are bad.

Why does a craftsman tracor with a kohler 15.5 hp engine bogg down when engaging blades

It will initially bog down when engaging, but should pick back up shortly after. If it is staying bogged down, turn mower off and check inside (under) the deck to make sure its not clogged up with grass clippings or dirt. if it is, clean it with either a hose or a scraper. Also make sure the deck is raised when you engage (dont engage with deck lowered on long grass).

My john deere keeps shutting down when I try to engage the mower blades.

well first off be sure the throttle is all the way up secondly check to be sure the blads turn freely could be the belt is pinched or off one of the pullies and causeing to much friction for the motor to turn it

Kohler 22 bogs down when i engage blades on zero turn, cleaned carb did not fix.?

Check the plugs, if they are black and soot covered you may have a float valve that is not sealing allowing a little extra fuel to get into the mix. If you have the savy to remove and clean the carburetor then you should be able to replace the float valve, one tiny spec is all it takes and the float overfills; if you clamp the fuel line shut and the tractor improves after using up fuel in the carburetor it is very likely an overfilled float bowl.

17.5 briggs motor back fired 1 time and now when i engage blades the motor boggs down

The engine is timed internally and externally. Sometimes when it backfires the external timing key where the flywheel and crankshaft join will be damaged enought to put the engine out of time. The engine may run but when put under a load such as cutting grass it will fail. This is about a 30 minute repair and about $2.00 in parts.

Craftsman ZTS 7500 dies when engage blades or when engage transmission

check the "kill switch" they are usually located in the seating area. it senses for pressure or seat angle and will kill the mower if nobody is sitting on the mower. Good Luck
