Toshiba A65-S1065 powers up but will not start Windows

My friends Toshiba A65-S1065 Notebook powers on but will not start Windows XP. I tried the recovery disc and a Windows XP disc. In both cases it says it's installing but never finishes. It just stops and sits there and hums until it gets hot.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

you can do power cycle on the laptop. turn off the comptuer. unplug the ac adapter and remove the battery pack. press and hold the power button for 10 secs to drain all excess power on the computer. put in back the battery and ac adapter. if it doesn't help, do recovery. if your computer is overheating, visit one of the service centers of toshiba to check the cooling module and system board. just make sure that you're still under warranty because if not then you're gonna be charged for the diagnosis and repair of the laptop.

i hope this info helps you.
