If you have a cable box and can set your TV to channel 3 then you should be able to watch cable. If you want to watch over the air broadcasts then you need a digital converter box which you can buy at Best Buy for around 40 dollars. You use the converter box as the tuner and set your TV on channel 3.

Isolate filament voltage from CRT,i.e. unplug Crt socket from pix tube.Measure filament voltage on CRT PCB.If present,suspect bad pix tube.If missing,solder any/all connects in filament circuit,meaning CRT board first then main PCB.

My tv is having problems
Jessi your problem sounds like could be a vertical sweep fault or crt drive voltage fault or maybe even a cold solder connection on the filment connections on the flyback transformer or on the crt pc board. I hope Im not talking over your head but if I am Im sorry. It time then if you feel the set is worth it to consult a repair shop for an estiumate as there are really no user serviceable parts inside youe set. Good Luck Ps Is that really your pictuer?? lol
