The coil freezing can be caused by a couple of things. 1) Not enough air flow over the coil or 2) A low refrigerant charge. First make sure that the indoor fan is running. Then check your air filters and make sure your evaporator coil is clean. After that you can get the refrigerant charge checked. The lower the refrigerant pressure is, the lower it's boiling point is and when it gets below 32F then the evaporator coil and usually the low pressure line freeze up. The leaking you were talking about is probably from the ice melting. Hope this helps.

I bought a new thermostat that requires a C wire. I have a spare wire in the cable that goes from my thermostat to my air handler. It's a Model B3BM-O36K-B Frigidaire model air handler.

At your AHU there may be a terminal block that has a C terminal. If not, you will need to locate C. Your outdoor units control wire should have 1 that connects to the Y signal allowing 24v to pass from Y at the t-stat to a wirenut at the air handler, from that wirenut to the contactor. And C comes from the contactor to a wirenut at the airhandler and to C side of transformer. Common wire colors from o.d.unit are red=24v and White from the o.d. unit, (NOT THE WHITE FROM T-STAT!) is the common. The transformer may also have a tag/sticker that states 24v and common with a color of wire for C. And if the t-stat takes batteries that you need to install, you shouldn't need C wired in. C is there so you don't need batteries, if it has a battery option.

You need to program with installation instructions. Press fan & up button @ the same time for a few seconds & go through the installer menu that comes with the thermostat to set it up for heat pump.

My intertherm outside unit is clicking and I can hear a buzzer every so often. When the buzzer goes off the inside lights dim for a second. Model T5BD-048K and serial # T5A060500118. Product p3ra-048k is...

Sounds like the compressor is trying to start but is not. The lights are dimming as the unit is overamping. The buzzing noise is the motor trying to start and failing. The click is the unit going out on it 's safety device, unually an internal overload.
Hope this helps.

Indoor coils freezing up

You have a low refrigerant (leak) problem or poor airflow due to dirty coils or bad fan motor.
Maybe a combination of all 3.
Check the coils for dirt and lint. Check the fan motor blower wheel for lint on the blades. Check the condensing unit refrrigerant operating pressure. Low side for R22 should be approximately 68 psi, R410 pressure should be approximately 135 psi.

A/c on house evacuate need to find referigerant leak

if you are saying that your home ac unit is leaking refrisgerant and it is your central air system they have a dye that can be introduced into the system throught its refridgerant intake , if it is a small window unit the odds of fixing it inexpensively are minimal

Condensation leaking out of unit

if it is the indoor unit leaking, make sure that all your drain lines are clear.... if you're talking about the outdoor unit leaking water in the heat cycle...that is normal.
