Instructions

  1. Step 1 Find the menu button for your monitor. This is usually on the front of the monitor. It is sometimes on the side of the monitor.
  2. Step 2 Push the menu button. Scroll down until you find the screen option. Select "Screen."
  3. Step 3 Scroll down to the degauss option. Select "Degauss." Select "OK." The screen will make a tuning sound, as if you hit a guitar string. The screen will shake and vibrate. The shaking should now be gone. If it is not, it will need to be looked at by a professional.

Before taking pictures my lcd is blurry but my pictures are great?

If the LCD image is blurry all the time there could be an issue with the screen itself. If it only gets blurry just before you take the photo it's just doing a quick focus before the photo is taken and you're seeing that happen.

Why does the cursor shake on my graphics tablet?

I had the same problem and found the solution (for me).
It was the Laptop Power Supply.
  • Switched off the supply and ran off laptop battery - no shaking.
  • Switched on the supply - shaking.
Hurray! It also explained why sometimes it would shake, sometimes not and why it also occured on my other laptop which caused me a lot of confusion - I was swapping over the same Power Supply to use on both laptops!

I have a Polaroid P (not digital) that I don't quite know how to

Hi
Blurry pictures are caused usually by one of two things:
1. Camera not focused correctly (ie set to wrong distance)
2. Camera shake (due to not holding the camera steady or too long a shutter speed)
Camera shake is very common and usually occurs when the light is low and/or you zoom in on a subject.

The cure is to make sure the lens is focused (this may be automatic but you should get some indication such as a green light?) and keep the camera steady by perhaps using a wall or lamppost or even a tripod. Having said all that in good daylight there should not be a problem holding the camera and if the flash is going off then you should certainly not be getting camera shake.
I am afrid I dont know the model to say how to turn the flash off but hope this is useful anyhow.
Regards
Marti

Vibrating and shaking

the sstepper motor of the focus assembly has slipped out of its track. that motor is a very powerful one which can cause the vibration.  once u change the mode to take the picture the motor should run in both direction to make some calibration. you cannot disable it. in the preview mode the optical assembly returns to it closed position and then the motor is switched off.
since it is a cybershot you need to be very careful in handling the camera if you have any plan to open it. it is recommended to be taken to the nearest service centre. any way the wheels might need replacement

Woke up this morning to find water was spilt on the desk my laptop was sitting on. The laptop was off but the A/C adapter was still plugged in as was the battery. I'm not sure if the keyboard was exposed...

WATER WILL USUALLY DRY OUT WITHIN ONE TO TWO DAYS AND USUALLY THINGS WILL WORK, LIFT UP COMPUTER AND SHAKE TO SEE IF WATER COMES OUT, LEAVE SET UP ON SIDE TO SEE IF WATER DRAINS DOWN AND OUT. MAY HAVE SHORTED OUT THE POWER SUPPLY. ALSO MAKE SURE CHARGER UNIT IS WORKING.. GOOD LUCK

Monitor blurry or black

The problem could be with the LCD or the Video chipset. Either repair is expensive. I would figure about $150 in labor plus part cost. You can try ebay to get an idea of the part cost.

At 4 years I would be leaning towards purchasing a new laptop.

Monitor goes blurry, colours/pixels start shaking across screen

Do you have your screen saver enabled, i so turn it off and se if it still does it. Secondly boot your pc in safe mode(pressing F8) on boot up and select start windows in safe mode. See if the monitor still does it, if so a monitor fault or loose/faulty vga lead. If it is ok then your graphics driver may be corrupt and need re installing.
