I have seen this when I have stored/used my printers in a humid location - in my case, my basement home office. The paper edges curl enough to interfere with the grippers and/or cause paper jams.
Make sure you have new, dry paper (perfectly flat) in the tray and try again. If this solves the problem, you may want to try to relocate your printer to a dryer location.
Good luck.
