I have a high rate sand filter.Model #S190TSCp.The filter is running at 24psi. Not sure if this is high. Also, when I try to hook up the vacuum the psi drops to 13-14 psi and loose the prime.

Check skimmers, pump strainer basket and filter pressure. If filter pressure builds. time to backwash the filter. Also, the impellar on the pump might have debris in it...

It's taking a few minutes for the pump to take effect when turning on the tap is that normal?

If you are referring to a water well pump it is possible for it to take time before it starts. The pump is most likely connected to a holding tank and has a pressure switch on the sys. The switch allows the pump to turn on at a low limit and shut off at a higher limit.

High temp low oil pressure light comes on after driving for a few minutes, then off when engine at driving rpm. At stop light (idle or low rpm) light comes back on. Normal driving it goes out.

You need to find out why you have low oil pressure. It is normal that as engine rpm's increase, the oil pressure will rise- the oil pump is moving oil faster. Even though your light goes out, you could still have critically low oil pressure. There should be sufficient pressure at idle to keep the light off. The light will come on when your oil pressure is almost nil- I believe for some it's as low as 8 psi. Normally, oil pressure at idle is specified anywhere from 15 to 40 psi. You would have to check specifications for your Expedition. To verify oil pressure, hook up a mechanical gauge at the oil pressure sending unit on the engine block. Check with a local shop.

The causes run from easy, simple to budget busting ruin. Low oil level, wrong grade oil, real old oil, oil leaks, internal oil leaks, worn oil pump, worn crankshaft bearings. It was pretty common on older very high mileage cars to have a fluttering oil light at stops and idle. It was time for a rebuild, or time to look for another car.

Honda 160 homelite pressure washer 2700 psi no pressure

Water comes out the nozzle, but low pressure? ( more than when the motor is not running)
I would check the check valves and the unloader.
If the amount of water coming out the nozzle is the same when the motor is running or not running.
Either the key that connects the motor shaft to the pump shaft is sheared, or the pump is trash.
No water comes out the nozzle would indicate a clogged inlet filter or blockage at the gun valve or nozzle.

I have a 1HP flotec submersible at 130 ft. It is a replacement for an older pump that went bad and is about 8 years old. Yesterday the breaker triped. I turned the breaker back on and it triped after a few...

It could be you have an obstruction in water flow. Are you sure your check valve is correctly installed ( not reversed ). If there is no check valve you might want to install one. A quick way to find out is to use an amp meter and monitor the amps. If it goes beyond the F.L.A. on what the pump is designed for and does not come back to norm after a few seconds, than this is what is probably happening. Be safe and always call an electrician.

I will have low water pressure supply from source. how do i adjust for this? model GX200 with model Annovi Reverberi xtv 3g.22 pump

Low water pressure from source is generally not a problem unless water hose to washer collapses when use. You only need to supply the pump just 3 to 5 gallons of water per minute. Easy to check. Just open water supply to hose and capture water flowing out of hose into 5 gallon bucket (capture water in bucket for 1 min., should pretty much fill it ). Just use as normal. Good luck

Low Pressure

I worked at a tool rental while attending college and had the opportunity to work on a variety of pressure washers, however, they were of the commercial type. Commercial washers are slightly different in that they usually have seperated components for easier service. Attached to the pump by fittings or rubber hose were the pressure regulator (which has the bypass unloader inside), chemical injector, pressure gauge as well as the hot water release safety all external to pump. Your pump has all these components in one case. By far the most troublesome component is the pressure regulator/unloader which when failing will result in low pressure because it will bypass water back into the intake as you suspect is happening to yours. Here are a few things to check. I believe that your pump is 2500 2.4 gpm. Test gpm water capacity by running pump normally with hose and proper tip attached. Spray water into bucket for one minute and verify that you are pumping 2.4 gallons of water (or what ever gpm your machine is rated). Measure the amount of water that your machine delivered. If it delivered proper gpm and pressure is low then problem could be worn or improper tip. The pressure is created at the tip and pressure will drop as the tip wears. As the unloader/bypass wears, water will bypass at a lower pressure. (Try lowering the pressure regulator all the way ) If water measures less than rated delivery than the machine is bypassing water due to worn regulator/bypass, checkvalves pitted, oring in front of checkvalve worn or cut or missing, or body of pump where checkvalve/oring seat is pitted allowing water to leak past valve. The cap that is removed to access checkvalve must presses against checkvalve with enough force to prevent water from leaking thru oring and body of pump. Examine checkvalves and orings with maginfy lens and look for pitting. Valves surface and orings must be very smooth and tight fitting to work properly. Body of pump where checkvalve oring snuggs against must be very smooth. Any surface where oring seats must be smooth. As water bypasses it cuts metal and orings just like a leaking faucet so look for cuts in metal and rubber. This info and my experience is better suited for larger pumps and higher pressure but maybe it will help. Good luck with your repair.

No water from well.

If the water pressure reads 50 psi, then, the submersible pump is running okey. Do these:
1. Shut the power off.
2. Release the pressure of the tank by opening the
gate valve and free the air inside.
3.Drain the water inside your pressure tank empty by
opening the drain plug at the bottom.
4. Then, replace the drain plug .
5. Check the flow control valve. From full close
position, adjust to 1/4 open position. However, if it
is using a gate valve as flow control, Just open two
full turn counter clockwise.
6. Put the power on.
7. And start the submersible pump and allow it to
run until the pressure tank is pressurized.
8. At 20 psi pressure, open your faucet, and see if
you've got water.

I would like to know the result, so just send in your e-mail . Thanks and God bless you.

Fan cycles on every few minutes. There is no demand and the burner doesn't come on but the exhaust fan cycles on for a few seconds every couple of minutes.

You're most likely getting a pressure wave (spike) that is generating momentary flow across the flow sensor. The heater is registering this "instant" flow and beginning its firing sequence. Once the flow dissipates, the unit then goes into a purge cycle. I'd recommend having your water pressure tested to make sure it isn't abnormally high (above 60 psi) or abnormally low (below 30 psi). Assuming the pressure is normal, you can use a pressure reducing valve or pressure regulator to absorb the spikes and stop the unit from cycling.
