a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The normal cause of a pink tinted screen is that the LCD back light is beginning to fail. Kind of like a regular florescent bulb does when it starts to go bad. It may last for a while, but eventually you'll have to replace it.

First download everest trial version: http://www.lavalys.com/
Then installit and run it, this software will tell you the brand and model of everyhardware, then you can go to everywebsite of each brand and download the driver from there, or just surf for it in google.
The diference with the windows hardware manager is that windows only tell you if the device is a network or audio devices, but not the model neither the maker, and sometimes only tell you unknown device. In the other hand with everest you will get more information about your hardware :D

To reset the BIOS you will need to remove the main battery & the CMOS battery. To find out how to remove the CMOS battery refer to a service manual if you can find one.
