My canon mp360s is printing to pale what can i do

Inkjet printers do not like being left unused for long periods.
Some of the color print head may be blocked. Try several deep cleaning of the print head to see if it can clear the blocked print nozzles.
If none of this works then the print head needs to be replaced.
A new cartridge will not solve this problem.
NOTE the print head is not a cheap item, you may consider putting the money towards a new and better printer.

New ink cartridge. Canon ip1800 series print is pale


check the settings to insure your aren't printing in "Draft" mode

Pale photo printing


It may be to do with the ink, you might have to get a new color cartridge.

Canon mp30s cartridge jammed


Since making my query post my husband seems to have solved the problem. I first tried the solution offered here for another printer model (remove then replace actual print head unit with the cartridges intact) but that didn't help. So my husband put a small amount of WD40 (also known as CRC) on the slide bar that the print head moves along. That seems to have freed everything up.
