I hope you have fixed this by now. If you haven't It is possible that the ROS is malfunctioning. The tractor is equipped with a reverse operation system which allows the tractor to mow while backing up. It might be that the wiring in the switch or the shifter has become disconnected or broken.

For reference, the manual says this:

USING THE REVERSE OPERATION SYSTEM -

• Move motion control lever to neutral (N) position.

• With engine running, turn ignition key counterclockwise

to ROS "ON" position.

• Look down and behind before and while backing.

• Slowly move motion control lever to reverse (R) po si tion

to start movement.

• When use of the ROS is no longer needed, turn the
ignition key clockwise to engine "ON" position

Manual is available at: http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/NOUS/NOUS2007/NOUS2007-PB175H42LT-405327-96017000401.pdf

Car will not engauge into 1st or 2nd gear

the gear grinding noise is because the clutch plate is not fully disengaging and the input shaft is still driving. If you did not use the same length of push rod then the slave cylinder is not moving enough to disengage the clutch. Check it out that with the pedal on the floor the piston in the slave cylinder should be almost to the edge of the slave cylinder . That is where It should be to be working properly

You have probably knocked off or stretched the drive belt, the drive pulleys or or the linkages off the transmission lever.

MY STARTER ON MY 2004 YAMAHA VSTAR 1100 JUST SPINS AND WILL NOT ENGAUGE THE FLYWHEEL. WHERE IS THE SOLENOID LOCATED ON MY BIKE?

Hi, Brutledge552 the starter drive/Bendix/clutch is a mechanical gear driven component that engages the clutch pack ring gear to turn over the engine. It has an internal mechanism that allows the gear to turn in one direction and once the engine starts allows the drive gear to free spin. If gear free spins in both directions then the drive gear has failed, it is not serviceable and needs to be replaced. Does the tractor try to move or **** in any direction, if so you may want to check to see if the disk that controls the brakes is stuck, I've seen this many times.

1998 Isuzu Amigo A/C clutch does not engauge and hot air always comes out of vents even with a/c and heater are off. Also, when driving, the gear shift gets very hot.

on gear shift; check fluid level in transmission_(gear oil) air will come out of vents as part of the ventilation system. the a/c clutch may need a new switch or is low on freon.

2005 Pontiac Aztec has an intermittant engine stall while driveing on the highway. Engine will restart again within 20 to 30 seconds before vehicle comes to a stop. Battery light is only lamp that...

Next time this happens, reach up and try to turn the key like you are trying to start. It shouldn't engauge starter while in gear so don't worry about that. If it starts up when you do this, you most likely have a weak switch and the weight of your keys swinging may me shutting you down.
