The pressure swith (load size) is what controls that chang that. A small hose runs from the bottom of your tub and as the water fills a measerd amount of water fills that tube and pressure build up in their operates that switch and activates the timer to stop filling and start agitating.

WATER WONT SHUT OFF

. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Water wont shutoff when filling

if you unplug the machine and it still fills with water, Then your water valve is bad, Use the wall shut off to find out what side is bad by turning on one at a time so you can find out if hot or cold valve.

if the water quits filling when you unplug the machine then you have a water level switch problem or the water level switch hose is disconected or cloged.

Fills up with water and won't stop!

This is caused by a faulty water level switch. It's a diaphragm-like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level increases, so does the pressure on the air in the plastic tube and when it reaches a certain point it activates the switch to shut off the water. Make sure that the plastic tube is not damaged or obstructed in any way and the switch can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter and checking continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a faulty switch. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Water fills up in tub but wont shut off flooded

Sounds like a problem with either the inlet valve or the pressure switch, the way to determine which is bad... while the machine is filling pull the power plug..if the water keeps filling it's the inlet valve that is going to be bad..if it stops filling it's going to be the pressure switch. The pressure switch is located in the control panel and has a small rubber pipe attached.once you have figured which it is replace it good luck.

Fills with water when not in use.

Hi, If the washer fills up when off, you will need to change the inlet mixer valve. Do you have to shut the water source valve off to keep it from filling up?
Please let me know so I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Fills up with water and wont stop

if it still fills , with power off, the valve is letting by water and has become faulty,if water stops with power off, check for smudged powder at the lower part of the pressure switch pipe giving a false read to pressure switch, other than that the pressure switch has become faulty, look at the pressure switch pipe first for blockage, hope this helps

Bad Preasure valve comes to mind first and formost it acts like a level sensor balanceing the size indicated for fill.
