Question about Whirlpool LEQ9858P Electric Dryer

I hit the stat button and i here a click from the swich but it does not activate. I took switch appart and the relay is making contact but the drier is not turning on?

Hi, J a motorcycle starter relay is an electronic mechanical switch that has a small coil winding around a piece of metal that requires low amperage and thin wires to be activated. When i press the start button on my buell motorcycle the lights work but the bike will not start i hear clicking sound in fuse box

1994 nissan pickup a/c will not come on when i push the button, wont light up.Blower works fine, if i bypass the relay a/c works and it has enough freon. the relay is also good, could it be the a/c switch?


Yes the AC compressor swich could be bad, you could check switch continuity possible bad contacts. Also check to make shore you have proper DC voltage supplying switch, should be 12 volt DC.

I replaced fuel pump on 96 ford explorer now fuel pump wont turn on is there a relay or reset switch


There is a fuel pump cutoff reset button (and a relay) it is located under the instrument panel at the right (passenger) hand cowl side "kick" side panel, press the button and when you hear a click it is reset.

Hi, Nick before testing any electrical component in the Starter Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries. Depending on battery voltage starter relays and starter solenoids can make the same noise when you hit the starter button. You can easily determine which one is at fault by two simple tests:
STARTER RELAY- place your thumb and index finger on the starter relay and press the starter button, if you feel the click then the relay is faulty and needs to be replaced.
STARTER SOLENOID- bridge the positive and negative poles of the solenoid with a small screwdriver if you get a loud clunk then the solenoid needs to be rebuilt or replaced as necessary. If the engine turns over then replace the starter relay.

I have a 2000 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. While riding at highway speed I accidently hit the kill switch. At first wasn't sure what had happened. Realized it was a fuel issue... noticed it was the kill switch....


Take the starter button off and put a 12 volt tester on one of the 4 leads that are wired into the button. Test each- If you find a hot line, take a small piece of wire and jump the current over to the other parrallel button. I worked on my bike for two weeks before I discovered this problem. Another problem was that the headlight would not come on. The starter would not crank at all. I took a screw driver and raised the brass leads on the switch so they would make contact and put the switch back together, and it worked. Good luck.

Will not switch on- button will not stay on


at the rere of the switch there is a small relay board. replace this and ur problem will be solved (ex hoover engineer)
