The F06 error code indicates a drive motor tachometer error. This error is
virtually impossible to accurately diagnose if it is intermittent and
not occurring when a technician is present. The most suspect components
that would cause this failure code are the drive motor, the motor control
unit (control board) or the wire harness. In some instances, this could
be caused by severely overloading the washer so that it cannot spin
properly.
Make sure that the washer is not overloaded. Another problem
that could cause the error code to be displayed intermittently would be a
loose wire harness connection that is affected by vibration when the washer
is spinning at high speed. I anticipate that the technician likely
checked the wire harness connections between the drive motor, the motor
control unit and the central control unit (main control board).
Although in some instances this error code could be caused by a
failed central control unit, this would be rare. I am not aware of the
F06 code
being caused by a problem with the user interface control board. This
information may help you more clearly understand the failure in the washer.
