In the manual for a Kenmore washer the instruction for an F06 code (electrical problem) is :

Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START.

After that, you might try unplugging then plugging it in again.

The F06 error code indicates a drive motor tachometer error. This error is
virtually impossible to accurately diagnose if it is intermittent and
not occurring when a technician is present. The most suspect components
that would cause this failure code are the drive motor, the motor control
unit (control board) or the wire harness. In some instances, this could
be caused by severely overloading the washer so that it cannot spin
    properly.

Make sure that the washer is not overloaded. Another problem
that could cause the error code to be displayed intermittently would be a
loose wire harness connection that is affected by vibration when the washer
is spinning at high speed. I anticipate that the technician likely
checked the wire harness connections between the drive motor, the motor
control unit and the central control unit (main control board).

Although in some instances this error code could be caused by a
failed central control unit, this would be rare. I am not aware of the
    F06 code
being caused by a problem with the user interface control board. This
information may help you more clearly understand the failure in the washer.

Kenmore elite he3 model 110 f-06 code comes on and washer stops .

I was getting a F-xx code can not remember the number.
If you remove the bottom front plate , I remember 3 three screws.Behind that is the filter for the machine, mine had a 2-3" white cap that came off with a screen inside that was plugged. When you open it up you can get a fair amount of water come out. The machine will not work until you put the front cover back on.
UNPLUG the machine FIRTS

Servise code f 06

"F06" is a Motor Speed error code. The following link explains how to troubleshoot:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r714929-f06_error_whirlpool_duet_kenmore_elite

Read through the link provided and verify all your wiring and connections, first. Sometimes the problem is as simple as a loose plug. Make sure resistance checks are done with the washer unplugged. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Try shutting off the machine. Switch off Usually the door opens in 2 minutes or so. Do not force open the door. There may be instructions in your book to open the door manually. It could mean unscrewing somewhere.
