Question about HP LaserJet 2840 Printer

1. Printer will not print. 2. Error codes says, " replace supplies" 3. Replaced black toner which is the only one i am using but that did not fix problem. 4. need to reset or delete error code.

There is something wrong with your drum. First try to replace a new chip for the drum and make sure that the chip is working. If that does not work then check to see if there is any damage in your drum. If you find damage then replace it with a new drum

Hi. Please check your color toner. The printer will not print if one of your ink is empty even if you are not using it.

    that is not the problem. I have seen many people post this same problem stating their toner was fine. There is some other kind of error. Please look into this or check with someone else whom is familiar with this printer. thank you.

    Currently, we have no way of bypassing the color toner requirement even if we are printing in black only. If you have been printing in black only but did not choose to print in "grayscale", your color toners were used to print pictures/graphics or gray shaded text and it is more likely that one of your color toner is empty.

    Color toner has been out for months. That is NOT the problem. MANY people have posted the problem stating that ALL their toner is new. Color toner went out while under warranty and the HP Tech guided me through changing all the settings so that it would still work. if you don't know about this problem, maybe someone else in your department does. let's not spend time troubleshooting something that we know is not the problem.

Replaced fuser and toner units now only prints black pages


Printing on a laser printer has 3 steps:

1. electro-statically charging the "drum", at various tiny "pixels",
to identify where the toner-powder should be placed.

2. feeding toner-powder onto the charged drum.

3. making the fuser produce heat to "bake" the ink onto the printer.

So, a failing unit or failing electronics would "charge" *ALL* of the drum,
thus putting black ink EVERYWHERE onto the page.

Take the printer to a qualified technician.

Replaced black toner..now printer won't print any


In this case, actually it is not the Black toner that got depleted. Here the message being displayed indicate that one of the color Toner supply need to be replaced as it got depleted and currently the printer is printing in Black and white using the Black toner cartridge.

in this case, to troubleshoot these issues please try performing the following and check for the results.

* 1. Check for the level of the toner cartridges:

a) Check from the HP Toolbox application. Here are the steps to be performed from your PC:

* Access the Toolbox software.
* Select the Status tab.
* Select the Device status option.

Here you can check for the supplies status in terms of the % remaining for each toner cartridges.

b) By checking the supplies status from the printer control panel display.

On the printer display when printer is in Ready mode the supplies status can be checked from the supplies level indicator. Each toner cartridge and the Imaging drum level will be indicated by a bar which varies according to the level of the supplies present.

c) Print the supplies status page from the printer.

* On the printer control panel menu, press Menu .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Reports, and then press Enter .
* Use the (Right Arrow) button to select Supplies Status, and then press Enter .

If any of the color toner cartridges and the Imaging drum have a low supply level replace them with genuine HP print cartridges.

The part numbers of the consumables are as follows:

* Black print cartridge - Q3960A
* Cyan print cartridge - Q3971A
* Magenta print cartridge - Q3973A
* Yellow print cartridge - Q3972A
* Imaging Drum - Q3964A

HP 2840 *(Error Message) = replace supply using black only Will only print in black All color and black toner are 75% or more full The drum was low so I replaced it just in case but error message remains.


By repalce supplies, it means that you have to replace the other toner cartridges and that it is only going to print black only

Oki Printer c3200 error code


Suggest you order a black drum, which may include a black cartridge. Replacing BOTH the cartridge and the drum should solve the sensor problem, then you can swap parts to isolate where the problem is.

The printer is unable to read the electronic information (e-label) on the print cartridge so that the printer can keep track of the page count for the print cartridge.
1.
Open the top cover, remove
the print cartridge, and
reinstall it.
2. Install a new HP print
cartridge.
3. Check the connection
between the
DC controller PCA
(location J97) and the
memory chip on the print
cartridge (location J600).
4. Replace the memory chip
cable and contact assembly.
5. Replace the
DC controller PCA.

My printer is not printing


My printer at work kept saying it was low on black toner. I finally replaced when I got the message Black toner supply error. I gave it a minute or two to adjust itself and when that didn't work, I turned off for about ten seconds and then restarted it. I've only had two problems with this printer and I have had to turn it off both times before it would work perfectly, if that helps anyone.

Konica minolta error


I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
