Make sure main monitor switch is pressed in, look at back of unit, the speaker jack labeled main/monitor is now monitor output, you may use 2 8 ohm speakers, use controls on front labeled monitors.

250W, 8 Ohms speakers on 150W, 6-16 Ohms Amplifier.. What is the effect of this?

If your amp states that it will support a range of 6 - 16 ohms, an 8 Ohm speaker will work fine on it. If the speakers you hook up to it are lower than 6 ohms, it may work until you turn it up, then it will either shut down or burn out the finals. If you hook up a speaker that has a higher than 16 ohm, it will not get very loud, and it shouldn't hurt the amp.

Hello,I'm trying to conect 4 speakers(Bose 161,4-8ohms,50w each) and 2 speakers (JBL cf100(3way speakers),8ohms,100w each) to rceiver Pioneer VSX-455, I want to conect all of them at the same time.please I...

Well if you look on the back it plainly says speakers should be between 8-16 ohms.

It has facilities for 2 pairs of fronts (A and B) which could be run concurrently if they met the >8-ohm spec.

The JBL's would work best as primary front speakers.

If you wired the Bose in series with each other, they'd work as one surround speaker 'pair' electrically, maybe even sonically if you arrange them across the sides and/or rear. I'd experiment.

You'll need a separate amp for any center or sub speakers.

Not sure of how to wire these speakers ( internal ) Bose 901 series iv

Found on Google Search: "bose 901 internal wiring" You must first identify which series you have. The first two series were acoustic suspension, and used nine 8 ohm drivers in a series/paralel configuration. Series III through VI used nine .9 ohm drivers all wired in series. Series III and IV had an additional terminal for use only with the Bose Spacial Control Receiver. Series III through VI are easy to identify, as there are three ports sticking out the back of each enclose. The 1st two series have no ports.

I have Behringer 1c monitor speakers. My amplifier is Yamaha 8 0hm, 75 watts per channel. How do I connect the 4 ohm speakers to 8 ohm apmlifier.

This is a problem I have had as well. Know that Yamaha and other manufacturers that give an 8 ohm minimum spec DO NOT reccomend hooking 4 ohm speakers up to their amplifiers. That being said, I have had no problems with the Behringer 1C on Onkyo, Sony and JVC amps. You *must* be careful to regulate your listening volume, and be aware that the distortion the amp produces into a 4 ohm load is much higher than with 8 ohms. You also take the risk of cooking your output transistors.
It is up to you to decide if the risk, the neccessary self imposed volume limiting and the added distortion are worth it.

The monitor doesnt turn on

felixrodrigu, The problem not outside monitor! It is inside. Some or all of following will need to be replaced on printed circuit (smps)board. capacitor c605, c7o3, c7o7, resistors r615(.68 ohm 1 watt) ,r623 4.7 ohm 1/8 watt, 1000 ohm 1/8 watt, D604 diode (1n4148) , IC 601 (uc3842b) and Q601 . If not handy with soldering iron and solder, leave repair to qualified technician. Do some research and you will understand why your unit has failed!!! 12fixlouie

Run (4) monitors with double female adaptor?

If you connect the 4 monitors in a cross arrangement ie wire 2 monitors in series with each other and then do the same with the other pair. Effectivley you will then have 2 monitor sets e3ach measuring 16 Ohms each. Then wire the 2 sets in parallel to bring back the overall impeadance to 8 ohms. See the diagram below.
