If one line is freezing up with ice accumilation on it, the unit is low on freon. You may want to take the unit to your local appliance repair shop and have it looked at. I would request a quote for the repair before the work is done. Most of the time it is cheaper to buy a new unit than it is to pay the labor for repair.

Not staying cool

sounds like it is either low on Freon or the compressor is going out. The blowing ice cold is an indicator that it may be freezing up because the low Freon. when it stops blowing cold, turn it to fan only mode and see if it gets colder again. If that is the case then the unit is low on freon and freezing up. I know that sounds confusing but that is how AC works. The low freon pressure means the gas is expanding too fast and the air flow cannot take up the cold from the evaporator fast enough. Turning the compressor off and keeping the fan on will alow the room air to take up the cold.

Blow compressed air backward thru nozzle to free clog in line. Might have to remove line on other end.

No heat blowing cold air.

Do you smell coolant inside of the vehicle. If so then chances are your heater core is going.

The lines on my air conditioner keep freezing and its not getting cold but the compressor keeps coming on

If your vents inside are blowing normal and your filters are clean, more than likely you are low on refrigerant and it will have to be charged. Also check to make sure the fan motor outside is working when the system is on. Hope this helps!

No cold air....external fan blowing....line between furnace and compressor unit is cold (with ice on it)and dripping water

Check your air filters and replace if necessary. Check the indoor and outdoor coils and clean if needed. If the line is still is freezing get the refrigerant charge checked.

GE profile refrigerator line freezes, fan blows but no cold air?

OK, I think I understand. Thing is we need to do a few things to see if your control board is the problem or if the fan or a freon leak is the answer. You need to tell me if this began suddenly or if over a period of time. I have been having trouble lately from Fixya if the customer (YOU) responds to my solutions. Let me know if you want my help and I will see if I get a email letting me know of your response, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Home central air conditioning unit

check the filter, make sure it's not plugged. Make sure all the vents are open. Are the lines freezing up (have ice on them?) Could be a lot of things but if it is not blowing much air then you may have a motor problem or dirty filter. If the unit is freezing up then probably have a leak and will need to be found, fixed and recharged.

Compressor lines

If the large line returning to the compressor is frosting you don't have enough air circulation. Check air filters on inside unit.
