Help me please i just came back from my holiday and i wanted to pley my ps2 turned it on and put in a ps2 game and nothig happend i oppend the lid and this disc hadnt moved a mill and im not sure what the real prob is the rotor disc spinnig thing or the lens i just cleaned the leans with rubbing achol and nothing still im getting really frustrated ive tried 3 other ps2 games dvds music lens cleaner disc!!! still no spin argh!!! you can muck round on the menu screen but no games:( please help
Just repaired mine take te top off where the laser sits give it a good clean if you got a little bit of grese put some on the laser guides and the motor next to the laser good luck
Try to stand it up on it's side or lay it down.
First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.

ok new problem um well it worked i turned it of i couldn't get it to go again i turned it up side down put it on the floor and put some more pressure were the rotor thing is it ran my canis canem edit until it said playstain to i let go it went back to the browser saying there is no data i put more pressure on it it starts. now this time i took my hand of at the rockstar games part and it frooze. im really confussed ay wth? new cd drive or what.
