Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why does the diskless workstation fail to start after STP is enabled on an S1700 web-managed switch?

To solve this problem, configure the service port of the switch connected to the diskless workstation as an edge port. For details, see the user guide of the web network management system. Huawei Networking Products News and FAQ

Kodak RVG 6100 Size 1 sensor not being recognized by system.

I don't have the answer but I have the same problem. Our sensor works on our one remaining XP workstation. However we recently installed new workstations and upgraded to Windows 7. It is recognized by the new Windows 7 workstation, and the workstation installs the driver, but the unit fails to initiate a capture status. Carestream support installed the driver and tested the sensor in all the USB ports and with a powered hub. No luck, their determination is a "bad sensor" but they can't explain why it works on our XP workstation.

Symantec antivirus scheduled updates time resetting to default

It sounds like you need to be using managed mode for the workstation installations. When you do this, the server will contact the workstations when there is a new update, and not the other way around. You wont have to worry about when it checks if that is the case.

Boot from hard drive on network?

Hi. If you're talking about having an external hard drive somewhere on your network and using that as your boot device in the same fashion as a USB-attached hard drive, then no. However, you can boot a computer using something called BootP, which is short for Bootstrap Protocol. Historically this was used by diskless workstations to obtain an IP address as well as the location of the boot image that the computer would use to boot up. It used to be used in only the *nix world (Unix, Linux, etc.). However, there is also some use in the MS Windows environments, specifically with  diskless media center computers running a Windows operating system.....Hope this helps!
