Not able to converge the blue or red plus signs on television

Have the Philips 46PP9302 or a very similar model, bought it 6 years ago. Just last month the picture got all blurry and bent like a fishbowl lens. Tried adjusting Red and Blue convergence but no effect at all.

Same thing happened to my friend who had the 60 inch. He used this site and fixed the problem. Then accidentally blew up the TV but it was fixed. He replaced the red and blue convergence IC's.

I need the link to get the IC and directions.

Seeing a picture like double vision.Tried to adjust the red & green crosses and the blue. The crosses or plus ( ) signs are supposed to be ontop of each other I assume?. What seems to be the problem.

They have to be on top of each other, converging perfectly. If you are unable to align them - you have convergence issue. Two convergence IC's have to be replaced inside of your TV. I would strongly recommend to let it do by professional technician.

you have lost red convergence. which ussally means one or both of the convergence amps need to be replace.. but it could be a resistor. does the red cross move up or down or side to side. how about the blue does it move in eather direction. this will let me know if both are bad
