I took the Back Panel off of the kdf-50e2000 and i do not see anything wrong with panel lamp switch mechanism

Symptom of weak lamp in TV that needs to be replaced in your Sony KDF-50E2000
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual of TV.
Let me know if you need copy of user manual.

Lamp needs to be replaced i took lamp out just to see how hard it was put it back in firmly now 3 blinking lights and door switch is good. i never replaced the bulb is that causing the problem

ya think it might have a pretection circut /????
most projectors do.

also the covers are all booby traped with switches also so you cant over heat the unit

If the lamp is new it could be the ballast the one is supply high voltage for the lamp you can order that ballast from Sony
Check the lamp if is not damage any where

bad lamp driver, if you have already replaced the lamp. If not, try replacing the lamp WITH AN ORIGINAL SONY LAMP!. Don't waste time with cheap replacements, you get what you pay for.

Can't get the front panel off

remove the back bottom screws that are inside ,and pull out the control panel it has magnetic holders
