Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Wd-52525 I have a 2004 Mitsu wd-52525. For about 1 year the tv has been pretty dim, only looks good in a dark room. The green timer light also occasionally flashes very fast and I have to unplug the set to get it to work again. After I turn it on after unpluging it, it asks if I replaced bulb. Yesterday the set stoped showing the picture. It goes to a blue screen on all video settings and has a white flashing light in the center with Horizontal lines moving from the center to the edges. Suggestions Please. Thanks Richard

This chassis has bad capacitors on the PWB,FMt, DM and the other boards that need to be replaced. They are all jamicon capacitors 1000uf and larger there are roughly 10 in the set that need to be replaced. Let me know if you need further instructions on this model.

Our Mitsubishi WD 52525 goes to blue screen and shuts off.

It sounds like you TV is overheating and the video is suffering and the lamp is overheating as well. Also, if your TV is over 2-3 years old, the mirrors (behind and below the big front screen) desperately need to be cleaned. Clean all filters and fans as well. (Look on side and behind the unit). Is the TV in a "hot" environment and/or dirty environment? DLP TV's are NOT sealed units. They need to be cleaned every few years to work well to have a good, clear, bright picture.

Mitsubishi WD-62327 Screen is very dim

I tooked the front screen off the TV set. I fallowed the instructions from another wrighter. The Bottom mirror was clouded with dust. I used a cleaner made for cleaning ipods and put it back together with instant success. I had not cleaned it since I got it almost four years ago. I just thought it was getting dim.

As far as the VCR playing black and white it also an easy fix. The Satalite Service man was swapping out my receiver and inadvertaly put the device on componite side of the TV. I put them back on Inpute 1 and 2 and they also work just fine. Thank you for your help.

reading other people porblems I was able to repair it on my own.
