If it is a power supply issue go directly to the Manufacturer FSP USA. Get in contact with the RMA department and for about $20 dollars plus shipping one way you can get your PSU fixed. Turn around time is about 3 to 4 weeks so be patient. Once fixed they send you an e-mail with tracking info. I did this an probably saved hundreds of dollars. The removal of the PSU from the TV is pretty straight forward, 4 connectors and just a bunch of screws. Keep track of the screws and where they go also take a pic of how everything was connected to you can reference to put it back together. One warning stay away from a company called Discount Merchant to try and buy a new PSU the sell refurbished junk that does not work. I tried buying from them a replacement PSU that was DOA and they did not want to refund my money and it was a huge hassle and I had to involve the BBB and my CC company to get a refund. Save yourself the nightmare and go through the Manufacturer. Below is the email contact info incase you cannot find the website.

"Olevia 65 LCD TV"

8e12bdd8-2e36-4e3d-b2c6-b240db1b35af.jpg I have found a solution to the scrambled / freezing picture for the 65" Olevia LCD T11. At the recommendation of 3D electronics in plano TX, I installed a 200mm fan on the back cover with the air blowing directly on the CPU of the main / video card. I had to cut a whole in the back cover to mount the fan and actually left the bottom panel off to let more air flow. There are some spare 12v terminals on the second power board on board furthest from the main board. I cut the whole out with a jigsaw and had to extend the power wire due to the length required.

Ok my Tv started to act up it wouldnt cut off when i finaly did get it i tried cutting it on and it would cut on

If it is a Olevia parts are slim to impossible to find depending on model number.
only simple thing to try is unplug set for a while and power back and see what happens.

Let me know what you find.

My 42 inch olevia 242fhd-t11 tv just shut off and will not come back on.. The blue led light will not come on either... Also was having intermittent sound issues for the last couple of days prior to it not...

I just repaired this identical problem on the same model TV. You have a bad power supply (also known as an SMPS). The board is model FSP271-4F02, and is about $75. Unlike the main board for this TV, you can find the power board relatively easily. Try shopjimmy, for example. Replacing the board isn't too difficult if you have a reasonable mechanical ability, have some tools, and are careful.

The power light (bright blue) on my Olevia 26" LCD burns brightly in my bedroom ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT. Is there anyway to dim it?

Had the same problem and took the easy way out: I cut a small piece of electrical tape and covered the LED. There is no way to dim it.

My tv will not turn on the power light comes on

After the power surge , the TV went on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur after power surge on a rear projection are a blown capacitor on power board, a component on ballast board has blown, or a fault on Digital board had occurred.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.
