2. Check the water temperature sensor. Refer to the
"Water Temperature Sensor" section. Check
connections to the water temperature sensor.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this

The door closes but the cycle won't start and an 'F4' ('door not closed') error message appears. Could it be a sensor problem? Can I fix it myself? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi.

The problem is fixed replacing the door lock switch. In some less common case the defective part can be the wiring harness to door lock, or a defective electronic control.

regards.

I have a whirlpool catalyst washer and recently it started blinking an F4 error code..my ? is what should I be looking at when it shows that error code? I have a whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front loader. When...

The F4 error code on your washer indicates a problem in the electrical circuits of the washer... and not end-user repairable.
This problem requires a technician to test the wiring circuits to diagnose the problem.
