Question about Goodman CLQ36AR49 Air Conditioner
Hi, it sounds as though when they did the install, they may have a poor brazed joint and the unit lost its charge while setting until now. If the indoor unit runs and is blowing just air, go to the outdoor unit to see if its running. If not the problem is out there. If its off, check the breaker to make sure it is on. They should have also put a disconnect box at the condenser out side. It has 2- fuses inside behind the plastic cover that you can check. If it has power to it, its probably lost its charge and its off on its low pressure switch. Its a small switch brazed to the larger of copper lines inside where the compressor is located and will have 2-BLUE wires coming off the top and is also BLUE in color. There is a high pressure swith that is RED that looks the same so dont confuse them, go by color. You can jump across the 2 with a jumper wire leaving the wires inplace, just move the conectors up to clip onto metal. If its off on low pressure it will start. Don't run it!!This is just to check it. Get back to me to let me know what you have found and if the outdoor unit was off or on.
