Question about Toshiba 56HM195 56" Projection HDTV
Listen for the colorwheel noise
you'll recall hearing it "wind up" as the tv came on
many of these will go bad and then it will never fire the lamp because the colorwheel doesn't get up to speed
if you don't hear it, suspect the wheel, its hard to get since toshiba never had it as a seperate part
if you do hear it, its probably a bad lamp driver, but unlikely
let the tv go and go, it will try like 7 or 8 times and then eventually spit out an error. your user manual has the error codes, it will tell you if its the colorwheel i belive.

Pull the lamp out & look inside where the lamp sends the light-
does the color wheel look defective? If so,replace it.
Or, the lamp ballast may be bad.After that,usually replace
