Question about Apple iPod touch
The most important things to remember when doing this is that to connect any device for the first time the router needs to be in pairing mode, and also the WEP key is case sensitive, when entering the key details, although the keyboard on the Touch may look like it is in caps mode it isn't, you either have to go into the keyboard settings in the control panel and enable caps lock or actually hit key cap before every letter in the key, or it wont connect.
It does take a degree of patience to do this but if you are very careful when doing so it works first time!

SOURCE: ipod touch won't connect to wifi
There's a possibility that the password that the network was asking is the 'network key' (e.g. WEP or WPA-PSK). If this is the password that the network is asking for, you need to contact the administrator of that network and ask for the Network Key, because that network is secured. They put this kind of security to prevent unauthorized users to connect to their wireless network.
Have a great day!
