Make sure you don't have it set on Macro. Is there a little flower icon anywhere on your screen?

  • cwalton74 Jun 06, 2010

no the flower is not on the screen but i changed it so it was there and its still fuzzy/grainy. This has been a problem since the 1st day i had it.

Have a canon rebel xt. pictures are fussy when enlarged. have told that the sensors need to be adjusted. is this correct? if so how

I don't know what you mean when you say your pics are "fussy". Did you mean fuzzy? you can go into the menu and find an entry for "picture quality". There you can select a higher quality (I always use the highest because you never know when you might like to enlarge a picture).

Fuzzy pictures

It's possible that some of the settings are set improperly on the camera. Try resetting the camera back to factory default settings and see if this makes any difference. To reset the camera - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - left arrow to RESET - press Ok - highlight Yes and press Ok. This will set the camera back to factory settings. Try to take some images and see if they are still fuzzy.

All of the pictures taken are very fuzzy no matter what you do

check to see if a flower appears on the screen. If it does then the camera is set to macro and all your pictures except close up will be fuzzy. To switch macro off, move the ring on the front of the camera till the arrow is pointed straight down. I was having the same problem. Wasted a whole day of vacation pictures. That was what fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours too,

It may have something to do with your settings.

Press the button with the diamond on it (at the bottom right hand cornner)
  • there will be a variety of different options that will help you take pictures in various conditions
In picture mode, press the ok button
  • go down to "awb" for more configurations and settings dealing with your conditions
(I might recomend the use of a tri-pod to hold it steady)

White and fuzzy screen

Hey mea411,
What you should do is have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. There is most likely something wrong with the LCD screen itself. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Fuzzy/out of focus pictures

This may sound kind of obvious, but have you cleaned the lens?

It's common to get finger prints or other marks on lenses, which result in blurred pics.

Try changing the resolution and picture size on the camera. Sometimes the camera settings and computer settings just don't read each other completely. Its starts out great but ends up fuzzy. Hope this helps.
