Question about Garden
Hi have a Toro wheelhorse 212-6. ride on mowers new to us. dont know how to make cutting blades work. motor works fine just wont cut. is there a switch which makes the blades operate once mower started
Yes, there is a switch on the dash. It operates an electric PTO or clutch for the mower blades. That is how most lawn tractors work. Of course , yours could be different, but if it is, It still has a clutch somewhere and a lever to engage the blades. Most of the electric ones are controlled by safety switches, One being in the seat, if you are not in the seat, it will not connect, if you get out of the seat with it running, the engine will cut off. Sometimes one is on the mowing deck, it will not connect if the deck is up. If you cannot get the PTO to work, it could be shot. (Rare) You can hear it go when it starts, check it out, hope this helps.
