How should I connect a Sony Wega KF-50WE620 to an XBox360 ?

Since the TV accepts HD signals only via DVI and component inputs, the only logical way is to use the "Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable" as show in the link below:

How to hook up your Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 to TV

The TV will not accept a VGA input. A cable converting HDMI to DVI would also require that you break out the L + R audio channels, too. The one I mentioned above does this all for you with no degradation in video signals.

What type of cords do I need to hook up a akia PDP4273m1 to my cable box

Which cable box are you trying to connect to the PDP4273m1? The best choice of cable will depend on the outputs available on the cable box. If your cable box has HDMI (looks like a rectangle with small cutouts on one long side) out, get an HDMI (type A on both sides) video cable and connect it between that port and the TV's HDMI in. (This connection doesn't require an extra audio cable.) If your cable box has a DVI (out, get a DVI to HDMI adapter and the HDMI cable (or a DVI to HDMI cable). Connect the DVI side to the cable box and then the HDMI cable to the TV Then get an RCA audio cable (two male ends on each side, usually red and white). Connect this to the audio out jacks on the cable box and to the DVI audio in ports on the TV.

If you do not have either of those outputs, check for a component video/audio output. Get the component video cable (with 3 RCA plugs on each end - red, blue and green) and an RCA audio cable. Match the colors on each side as you connect the devices.

If those aren't available, the S-video or composite video cables will work. The composite video cable comes with the audio connectors (red, white, yellow RCA plugs). They aren't part of the S-video cable and must be obtained separately. These are limited to standard video (no HD) so they are not the best choices with your tv.

If your cable box has SCART out, you will need an adapter for that. Most provide composite or S-video out. See http://www.svideo.com/scart2.html for one of these. Note: you will need to match the adapter to the CART output or get a converter.

The connections should be from the left side: serial port (RS-232 for service), HDMI, digital audio out (for connecting to a home theater receiver), DVI audio In, two component video and audio in, a composite video/audio in and out and an S-video with audio in. The manual for the PDP4273M1 is available from Retrevo here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Akai-PDP4273M1-TVs-manual/id/741bh140/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to download the manual.

i hope this helps. Please add a comment with your cable box make/model/provider if you want more help.

Cindy Wells
(very few TVs come with the A/V cables these days. Some set-top boxes will come with the composite video cables.)

Can i connect my xbox 360 using Dvi D to Hdmi in the dvi slot and also my tower to the vga slot on my eMachines E19T6W

I am not an xbox person, but as far as hooking it up, it should work as long as the other device is NOT powered up. That being said you will still have to provide audio from the xbox another way as dvi only carries a video signal, unlike the hdmi which carries both audio and video.

Cant get audio to go on hdmi intput 1 via dvi to hdmi

dvi does not have audio out. if your are hooking a computer to an hdtv you will need a cord from the sound card to an amp. Or if your t.v. has vga in you can use that and the pc audio input. It is a cord and each end has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on it.

I have windows xp and would like to use my sanyo flat screen to veiw movies that are downloaded on my computer

Purchase an appropriate cord depending on the connections on the back of your pc, you will probably need a dvi - hdmi or vga to dvi

use the cord to plug into the television

then right click on the desktop go to properties find the tab that has pictures of two blue boxes select the one that is dimmed and click the box extend my desktop onto this display then hit ok.

JVC AV-48WP30 : no sound comes out of the tv when my hd cord is hooked up. it will play sound through standard hook up. please help

The "hd cord" you're using is probably a DVI cable; they don't pass audio. For this to happen, you need an HDMI cable.

I have movies on my computor and want to hook up

if your amp doesnt have the HDMI receptacle on it. you have to buy an adapter that has the same type of input plug as your amp. are u sure ur talking about sound only. cos HDMI is a pretty new interface and u may not find the proper adapter in tour area. try and locate any DVI port on your amp. if there is one then u have to buy HDMI-DVI adapter.

No sound when hooking up DVi to HDMI...

This is normal, when you go from HDMI to DVI, the sound does not get transmitted. You need a separate cable to go from audio output on the computer to Audio input to the TV. There are speaker (headphone on laptop) jack to RCA audio cables, you could also go with digital audio or even optical out if your computer and TV both have the input and outputs.

HOW CAN I HOOK DVI TO HDMI WITH MY PROJECTION TV , THAT'S HD READY? MY DVI TO HDMI CABLE DOES NOT WORK. MODEL PT5598HDIX IS THERE A COMPATIBILTIY PROBLEM?

There is a HDMI to DVI attachment you can buy.One thing you need to know is that DVI does not support audio so you will have to run audio cables with it.

Trying to hook up my pc to my Sharp LC19sb24u flat screen not sure what cords I need

If the connection looks like:
0e69081.jpg
you would need the corrisponding cable:

30831b6.jpg
If your Sharp LC19sb24u has additional audio inputs they are the same as if hooking up your speakers on your computer.

If your Sharp LC19sb24u has a connection such as: (HDMI Connector)
6921030.jpg
You will need a DVI to HDMI cable:
6e38ef9.jpg DVI attaches to your computer and the HDMI end attaches to your Sharp LC19sb24u.

Hope this helps, if it does not - please write back and we can help you further.
