Memory card error appears.cant take any more pictures. what do i do now...

Your camera can handle MMC and SD cards. Modern SD cards are most likely SDHC cards and can't work in your camera. `please look for maximal 1 or 2 Giga Byte cards and the should not have SDHC or SDXC printed on them.

If your card is full, and it won't take more pictures, try putting most or all photos on a computer. Then delete the pictures you transferred. Make sure you also backup you pictures on an other medium.
Also check the lock switch on the memory card is NOT in the lock position.

S6000 not saving one picture, then locking up

Your SD card may have a greater capacity than the camera can handle - check the max size in the manual.

The camra works fine until i put in the memory card, when i put in the card it pops up E53 and wont do anything-to get that off i have to take out the card and batteries and its fine again-what do i do?

Without knowing the camera make and model I can only suggest you check your owners manual on how to format your memory card, your manual may also call it initialize.
I'm also going to include a diagram that shows the SD sliding lock, if this lock is in the lock position a whole sea of problems can "pop" up. the lock function is there top protect pictures or files on the card from being deleted by mistake. However sometimes these annoying little trouble makers get pulled down into the lock position.
Here is the diagram. Remember check the lock and then format/initialize your memory card also after each time you download your images from the camera or the optional card reader you must format the memory card to have the camera properly function with the memory card.
Hope this helps have fun with your camera

Cannot turn off picture lock

Connect your camera to PC with Windows XP or Vista via USB, open MyComputer and there should be a camera, which appear as new disk, open it and delete any image you need!

Black pictures

I had the very same problem develop after I found my 2 yr old with our camera.  Black pictures... but could review all past pictures - so I knew it was not the display.  All other functions were normal.
I search these forums and found others with Lumix cameras that had the same problem.  It was a loose ribbon cable to the CCD.  There are 7 screws to the camera case - once those are out - you are able to take the back of the camera off.  At the bottom - near the battery compartment is a half  inch ribbon cable.  When I investigated - the black retaining clip was in the up position.  So apparently - a good drop from my 2yr old caused it to come loose.  I nudged the ribbon back into position and pushed the retaining clip down.  It does not appear to lock well... so I cut a tiny 1/8 inch by 1/2 inch piece of electrical tape and placed it over the whole retaining clip.  Put the screws back in, then batteries and powered up.  Able to take pictures again.
Hope this helps - It took me all oof 10 minutes to complete and worth the investigation if it solves your problem.  I love this camera and has been my favorite yet.

"Card Locked " appears in viewer in all functions except View .

SD card has a mechanial tab on the edge of the card to lock the card out to prevent accidental deletion of pictures by the camera . This tab had been accidently moved to the LOCKED position during CD card insertion/removal from the camera . Once tab had been returned to normal position . Every thing works fine now . JC
