Question about Uniden BC340CRS Base Scanner

Im trying to find freqencies to program in my scanner but dont no how to get the frequencie numbers for my local area but not haveing any luck. do i have to buy these or how do i get numbers? thank you

I cant get my bc60xlt to program any codes. the chanels dont have any codes programed in them. the screen shows the channel number and the L/O .

That means your scanner has lost its programs...It has lost its memory memory loss when you program a frequencie in it the L/O will go away....

I have an old BC 145xl 16 channel scanning radio, it was given to me and i dont have a book on it but i need to program it

ok on your BC145XLT go to manual and manual to channel one and enter your frequencie number and then hit enter button and your frequencie is there....

BC340RS want to listen to digital police frequencie. I work for Lewiston fire department in Maine. We are on 153.950 believe we are analog the scanner picks that up fine Lewiston PD is digital 158.790...

This usually means a software package that is capable of decoding digital.

Most bearcats are pretty good in the digital area.

It some cases it may even mean a slight modification to the scanner.

You should be aware however that scanner use in the US has quite strict legislation which in some states may prohibit the decoding of such signals so please check first.
