Chain saw carburator settings for husqvarna 61

After cleaning air filter and carb, I cannot get my chainsaw to even fire. There is lots pf spark and the gas is flowing back to the tank. The low and high carb settings is what I thinks is the problem but I have not found the right combination. thanks

Turn both screws CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. This is a basic setting and the engine should start and run. Allow the engine to warm up, then pull the throttle full on. Turn the H jet screw CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-strokes. Proper adjustment occurs when the engine is 4-stroking, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. This gives best power and lowest heat. Release the throttle and adjust L jet CW until the engine idles fairly well, but will allow the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine continues to run. Hope this helps!

61 fires up then dies, seems to be good spark and gettin fuel

If the saw has good compression and spark (check them with proper gauges) check the fuel lines and fuel filter. If this all checks out, then the issue is probably the carburetor itself.

I need to know if the Husqvarna 136 is a 2stroke or not. And also what a company would do to my chain saw if i got a service done on it?

Your saw is 2stroke, the mix is 50 to 1. a service would mean a new spark plug, clean the carb. and air breather filter, sharpen the chain, check the bar and chain for wear or damage and advise you. Stephen

Erratic idle. it sometimes races and then settles down in idling.

chain saws get dust and debree allot faster than lawnmowers in their carburators and need to be taken apart and either cleaned or have a nw carb kit its just new gaskets . gasoline also oxyadizes after 30 day and that can leave behind a yellow film that will clogg the tiny holes in the carb. If you are adventerous and patient you can get a new kit and replace the parts yourself if you yake it apart take some pics of where things are and it will help when putting back together. there are lots of torx bolts and some brands use allens screws . but i would most likley say that your carbe needs to be cleaned put a new air filter and spark plugg in to hope this helps if you have any questions or help doing this yourself i will assist you

Husky 61 lots of spark fuel is getting to carb cylinder is dry wont start would comprison be bad?

Two stroke engine have a reed valves, or something like it, that prevents exhaust pressure from causing the gas to back up.
Because of long idle times in the winter, if you don't use a fuel stabilizer, the gas dries up an leaves a sticky varnish residue.
This not only plugs up orifices, but glues the reed valve either shut or open. Either is bad. So you probably have to take the carb off and clean it to remove the varnish.

When you start the saw it runs for a sec then u hit the gas bogs then clunks out

Start with cleaning your air filter really well
Check your spark plug for a good solid spark that goes to the electrode and not to the side of the plug - if it fires to the side replace the plug
Has anyone fooled with the carb hi/low/idle settings?

Husqvarna 350 geting fire and gas but wont start

Have you tried cleaning the air filter? The carburetor fuel inlet may have screens plugged with sawdust as well. If you have spark and fuel and AIR you should get fire(combustion)

Saw will not start Husqvarna 350

An engine needs three things to run(fuel and air mixed together in the correct proportions, compresion of the fuel/air mixture and ignition).Make carb adjustments, check the compression and the spark from the sparkplug.Priming the engine(put some gas into the sparkplug hole).Try to start the engine. If engine is running only the gas from the cilinder, the chain saw has a fuel delivery problem.Disassembly the carb and clean the inner parts.Check the fuel and air filters, fuel hose and gas tank ventil.

good luck!savumihai71
