SOURCE: LG Dryer 5977 will not dry

If one of the two thermal fuses are blown you will not get heat.  Thermal fuses blow (and are not resetable, they must be replaced) when the machine gets too hot.  Often this is caused by not enough air flow through the machine.  Check and make sure your exhaust vent is not clogged.  Clean it the best you can to get all the lint, dead mice, bird nests, etc. out.  Also make sure air is blowing out of the machine when it is turned on.  If not you have a blower problem.

SOURCE: LG dryer, model # DLE5977S,

Here is a link to get you a service manual for your washer.. in all probability, your thermal fuse opened.. check page 15 in this manual for troubleshooting techniques.. the thermal fuse ( once opended) needs to be replaced and wil disable power to your heating element... There are a few other checks in themanual you can apply but make sure you identify only those used on electric dryer models. the book contains info on gas models as well.. Hope this helps..

SOURCE: my DLE2514W LG dryer keeps running with 6 Min. Left

There is a humidity sensor (Hence the words Sensor Dry) inside the machine which trips out when it sees a lack of moisture in the air going past it.

It is not adjustable without special equipment

That sensor has failed and will need replaceing

For model 2514; from LG manual:

Child Lock: Press and hold DRY LEVEL for 3 seconds. A single BEEP Tone is heard, and CL is displayed. To unlock, press and hold DRY LEVEL for 3 seconds. The indicator light turns off.

LG Electric Dryer DLE2140W, it keeps running plus no heat. It says check filter, but filter is all clear.

Dryer will only turn off when cloths are dry. Seems like you have a failed heat circuit. If electric, first reset the circuit breaker (double) a couple of times. If gas, call a tech.

I have a samsung dryer dv328aer that stopped heating up.

Hi,

Check the home’s circuit breaker and fuses. Electric dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Select a heat setting other than Air Fluff.

Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty element (Heating Element). You'll need to replace it.

Dryer works but no heat

If a gas dryer, make sure pilot light is lit or wire to electronic ignition is connected. Make sure the area around thr ignitor is clear of dust and the filter and exhaust are clean.
If electric, check your home fuses or circuit breakers and make sure your plugged into the proper voltage and grounded outlet. Set on highest temp setting and run for a few minutes and check if your getting any heat.
Some newer dryers have a built in sensor that will only turn heat on if it detects moisture, so you may need to through in a wet towel.

My dle2514W LG electric dryer is displaying a CL code (Child Lock) and the check filter light is flickering. Clothes are also coming out with static cling (never was a problem until now). I have cleaned...

My dryer had this same problem. I cleared it by unplugging the dryer from the wall for 20 seconds and then plugging it back in. After this "reset" of the electronics, it has functioned for 2 days without a problem.

DLE2532W electric dryer: BLOWN CIRCUIT BREAKER

I would check the wire at the breaker for a poor connection causing arcing and excessive heating causing the breaker to trip....with the breaker off, loosen the binding screw on the wire and check the wire for any signs of arcing. reattach the wire and tighten binding screw snugly.

another though, ensure there are no other devices connected to the wire that is heating.
